Google Safe Browsing has flagged the download of my app as malware/virus two days ago and now users of neither Chrome nor Firefox can download the installer from

https://download.mp3tag.de/mp3tagv325-x64-setup.exe

I don’t know anyone in this branch of Google and sending this form had no effect so far:

https://safebrowsing.google.com/safebrowsing/report_error/

This has already caused to many support emails over the weekend and I'd be more than happy if anyone knows how to revert this false positive.

What are you currently using for organising the next tasks you want to do for your apps?

I tried many, not super with any of them.

I need just multiple task lists, so that I can group my tasks by topic, and then a Kanban board to plan them out.

Currently doing this with Apple Reminders, with "Working" List that has multiple Columns (my Kanban board) and Smart lists based on tags (my grouped task lists.

And that is working quite well. But would be interested what you are using!

fhe,
@fhe@mastodon.social avatar

@klemensstrasser I'm using Things for that. I have a project for each app I’m working on and use headers to separate into different areas of the app.

I usually collect links to the respective support emails and forum posts in the body of each item, along with general notes I find important. There is also a counter for the number of times a feature is requested.

All tasks I’m currently working on are tagged with a project-current tag, so I can easily filter the lists for next steps.

Looking for episode 61, I scrolled all this way, loading in batches or around 12 or so, and you tell me the archive doesn't go that far back? :(

„claudebot“ seems to be the worst of the AI crawler bots so far. I couldn’t access my Discourse instance anymore (HTTP 429) and had to block 250+ IPs from the swarm attack to make it stop.

The robots.txt was accessed tens of thousands of times, but successfully ignored.

fhe,
@fhe@mastodon.social avatar

A new swarm came back today with news servers and now I'm blocking IPs in the hundreds.

I don’t like you "claudebot“.

Looking for a term -- what do you call CLI applications that are not long-running processes like a REPL but doing "one shot" execution, e.g. process input/parameters/flags/file and produce an output, then exit?

TL;DR since this is confusing a bunch of folks: If you make money on the App Store, you are a Trader, and under the DSA are required to provide a postal address, email address, and phone number, that will all be displayed publicly on the App Store

(Google Play has had similar rules for years, so if you publish on Android you might be familiar with this)

fhe,
@fhe@mastodon.social avatar

@stroughtonsmith Seems like phone-number verification doesn’t work via call. The "Call Me" option does nothing, except for saying that a new code was sent.

    @craiggrannell Here are my nominations:

    • Doppler: beautiful and functional audio player for people who buy music and have their own personal music libraries.

    • Kaleidoscope: professional text comparison and diffing with powerful features and frequent significant updates.

    • MailMate: versatile email client which handles multiple accounts, predicate-based mailboxes, >300k emails, IMAP keywords and so much more.

    • Rectangle, Things, and XLD

    So looking forward to the article!

    I'm going to have my kids make dinner for the family on a regular basis.

    I'm going to start them off by giving them a few (3 to 6) recipes as good options for them to pick from.

    E.g. A rice based meal recipe, a pasta recipe. One of them will be baked potatoes because, hey, baked potatoes are delish.

    Question for mastodon:

    What recipes would you include in this short list?

    So I was on vacation and totally missed the release of 17.2 beta including the Journalling app… When Apple teased “Journalling Suggestions API” in June, I assumed it would be a way for 3rd party devs to suggest content to the Journal app (and had therefore planned to release this with a meditation session notes feature, I planned before).

    Seems like it’s the other way round though, i.e. the system provides journalling suggestions to 3rd party apps... or is there a way to achieve the reverse? 😅

    fhe,
    @fhe@mastodon.social avatar

    @manuel You are not alone 😄

    I was hoping to use the new Journaling API to contribute, e.g., entered notes from @habitboard to the provided suggestions, but it seems the API now released with iOS 17.2 beta has a different goal than what I understood (or wanted to understand) during WWDC.

    It simply suggests from a range of standard system activities, which is nice but also somewhat superficial.

    https://developer.apple.com/documentation/JournalingSuggestions

    fhe,
    @fhe@mastodon.social avatar

    @gernot @habitboard There is this line in the documentation, that mentions contributing from external apps using the predefined JournalingSuggestions.

    > Suggestions can also come from third party apps that provide data through frameworks such as HealthKit, CallKit, or SiriKit.

    So it's possible, but only with predefined range of assets.
