I was able to make Visual Voicemail work on my #LinuxMobile phone (OnePlus 6 running #postmarketOS ) with Iliad Italian operator.
I had to guess the config phone number, I used one that was sending me an SMS on new voicemail and it worked! (VVM was previously enabled on an iPhone) @kop316 did a wonderful job with vvmplayer! it's well documented and was relatively easy to gather the missing pieces.
Bonus: After this MR gets merged, VVM will work out of the box on Iliad https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mobile-broadband-provider-info/-/merge_requests/112
Lately I’ve been really hooked on #balatro.
I found out it uses the #löve2d engine, and I remembered something about Löve games being unintentionally cross platform.
#phosh works great on the #uConsole running #postmarketos 😊 @agx do you know a way of booting in Landscape mode? Currently I have to switch to Landscape mode at each boot using the quicksettings.
I’ve tried setting rotate=90 in phoc.ini but that just rotates the lockscreen.
I ported #postmarketOS to the #clockworkpi#uConsole (CM4)!
The display is driving me crazy though 😖
It’s only working when you boot with an external display connected using the microHDMI port, otherwise it just stays black.
I’m suspecting some error related to display mode but I have no idea how to proceed.
I repurposed my old Mi A1 smartphone as a Linux-based audio player!
I 3D-printed the brackets to attach the Fiio Q1 mark II DAC+AMP and enabled the USB sound card drivers in the kernel (https://gitlab.com/postmarketOS/pmaports/-/issues/2531).
Thanks to #Amberol and #postmarketOS for making this possible! 😊
Dug out my two Sony Mavica digital cameras. It’s still bonkers to me that they use floppy drives for storage. It’s an alternate universe that I could live in honestly.
@paulrickards I bought some Sony Mavica at the local flea market over time.
They have curious features: the MVC-FD71 (on the bottom left) has a window at the top to use ambient light as screen backlight. While the MVC-FD91 (on the right) can record videos, on floppy disks 🤯
@danct12 When paired with an USB-C dock and a Bluetooth keyboard+mouse it makes for a nice on-the-go PC.
Also it is pretty powerful with 8 cores and 16GB RAM and the Arch-based Linux image is nicely crafted, with read-only rootfs and R/W home.
