Inzwischen ist computerbasierte Sprachausgabe so gut, dass man sie nur daran erkennt, dass sie Tippfehler vorliest.

Gleichzeitig ist die Qualitätskontrolle inzwischen so schlecht, dass sowas dann trotzdem als Werbung in populären Podcasts geschaltet wird. 🤷‍♂️

@scy Ein sehr neuer Podcast von Cool Zone Media (Bester Laden! Außer die Werbung 😒) - Better Offline - erklärt, warum alles nur schlechter wird. Und das hier ist ein perfektes Beispiel dafür. Ein Grund: wer solche Werbung produziert, explizit für Podcasts, hört selbst keine Podcasts.

Ich mag ja "ochsen" als Verb, mit der Bedeutung "etwas mit roher Gewalt machen", üblicherweise mit noch nem Präfix. Sowas wie

"Der hat den Ball einfach hundert Meter übern See weggeochst." (mit bemerkenswerter Kraft gekickt)

"Alter, wer hat die Mutter denn so zugeochst?" (übertrieben fest angezogen)

A few days ago, my groovebox, the , running the new and awesome community-built firmware, crashed, which was very cool.

Not that it crashed, but what happened next: It displayed a colorful pattern on its pads.

That's a stack trace. It's listing the last steps the code made before crashing. The devs have asked to be sent photos of these, to help them find bugs.

I've pasted it on Discord, and there's a bot that recognizes these images and decodes them into addresses!

As a programmer, doing electronic unlocks a new class of computer-related problems (as if you didn't have enough already): clusterfucks 👍

Like, I'm now debugging why my groovebox, a , won't react to the transport control buttons on my new controller, an Akai MPK mini plus.

From what I can see, the Akai sends CC messages while the expects something else (MMC?), and won't even allow me to map CC messages to play/record/etc.

@scy Just the other day I got myself a Novation LaunchKey Mini. Using the app “MIDI Monitor” on my mac, I observe:

  • The “Play” button sends CC#115.
  • A “Stop/Solo/Mute” button sends CC#105.
  • The record button (labelled “Capture MIDI”) sends CC#117.

All send on channel 16 with value 127 on press and value 0 on release.

These are the default settings which apparently are optimised for use with Ableton Live.

Für 2024 hab ich mir vorgenommen, mir diese WTF eG mal ein bisschen genauer anzuschauen. Heute dann wohl mal bei einem der lockeren wöchentlichen Meetings reinschauen. Sie nennen das "Telebier", als Außenstehender klingt der Name nicht wahnsinnig inklusiv, aber wir werden sehen.

Edit: Okay, saumüde gerade, vielleicht wird das heute doch nichts mehr.

@scy Ich verstehe die Volumenangabe für die Bolognese nicht. Bei mir wird Bolognese nur in „Pfund Hackfleisch“ gemessen.

Herzis, was nehmt ihr eigentlich so an Software, um Geodaten zu bearbeiten? Jetzt nicht mal zwingend mit OSM-Bezug, sondern ganz allgemein. Sowas wie "lade ein GeoJSON, schieb Polygone durch die Gegend (oder teil sie auf oder verschmelze sie miteinander), spuck wieder ein GeoJSON aus"? Pluspunkte wenn ich OSM-Kacheln oder gar Rohdaten als Hintergrund mit reinladen kann, um mich zu orientieren, und extra Pluspunkte wenn ich an einem bestehenden Polygon entlang snappend ein neues zeichnen kann.

@scy Neben QGIS habe ich GeoJSONs auch schon per Hand bearbeitet. Aber mittlerweile kann der ein oder andere PM bei uns QGIS besser bedienen als ich, so dass ich das alles nicht mehr machen muss. 😀
