Here's another output from the summer's abandoned project. I didn't have any real direction with these except I wanted to do something with colour and texture. Now I have a big set of images like this that I don't know what to do with!

Would they work as prints? They look maybe more like postcards to me.

Something I don't always remember when making #mathart is to change parameters at random just to see what happens. This code is almost identical to the last image, if you make the individual flowers much much bigger so they overwhelm the image. #rtistry #genartclub

Weird flow field! The code to make this is even more of a shambles than the output.

Kind of makes me want to invest in a plotter though :-)

Numerically calculated period 1 continent of the multibrots.

Not sure I got it completely correct, it doesn't always seem to overlap the fractal but it looks cool. Didn't expect it to be disconnected!

And I expected it to be prettier!

Colour Space!

The image needed something for the foreground and I think this works. Tried a few simpler geometric shapes but it was a bit jarring. This feels nicely organic to go with the background.

Still on the 'draw a fractal inside another fractal' thing. This is a julia set drawn inside something not entirely unlike a multibrot. Looking spookily organic.

Working on the flow field system that I describe in the blog linked from my pinned post. That was more technical, here I'm trying to think more carefully about colour and composition. I've embraced/accented the geometric structure by adding some visible guides, and added the square element to integrate the round shape better onto a square page.
