One of the things that has fallen to the way side with the past few years is the idea of brand loyalty. Yes for certain items I have a preference (I’ve had some clothing etc for 5-10+ yrs) in terms of durability and quality but beside that? Fuck no. Price. Patagonia? Nope. Canadian brands? Not really. If it’s not on sale then won’t even bother. I have mostly had the same clothes for the past five years, repairing them, maintaining, which I’ve always done but now with earnest #ottawa#cdnpoli
I well aware the privilege of being able to own quality items that last. But the past few years have just cemented habits I’ve had for a while. The only challenge has been that I’m someone whose weight has fluctuated and so I have clothing that fits and doesn’t fit and then may fit again. But when even Value Village isn’t a deal I just keep to the same sets of clothes until I can’t wear them anymore #ottawa#cdnpoli
@Dianora I thankfully dont have to patch too often but the issue I find with stretchy pants is the thread and stitching isn’t very good so I’ve had a few repairs done for that but they keep on working fine otherwise!
Hey #ottbike! Does anyone have a recommendation for an e-bike sold in Canada that’s comparable to the Radio Flyer Via? Looking for something that could safely hold two children <150lbs combined.
