Chatted with a pharmacist this week about #covid boosters and they can only give them to folks over 65 and immunocompromised… unsure what kind of documentation that requires but province won’t pay for anything other… all the while movie industry folks I follow on social media show that everyone (actors don’t but everyone around them do) on movie sets still have to mask or they lose insurance coverage. @dan613 I don’t disagree but the conservatives have spent the past 4 yrs specifically naming JT as the boogeyman and mastermind for every little thing, 24/7, 365. Most people want change according to polls, and PP is the only choice for most of those people. I dunno, but I think the momentum would shift if there were one or two other warm bodies as leaders of the other two parties
This makes me so fucking mad because my local small grocery store, the only place nearby to get fruit and vegetables, closed in December over a liquor license dispute - their square footage wasn't large enough to be considered a grocery store!!!! - and now the government is rolling out liquor sales to corner stores. I do not love that a lot of the same driving mentality permeates how people move around on crowded MUPs in #ottawa If you were in the group of bros loudly ringing your bells in unison to get people walking to move right off the path so you all could blast through the middle so fast I could almost feel you on my left shoulder, well I’ll tell you to fuck off in person when you’re stopped next time too. It’s fairly intuitive that when you’re approaching people walking from behind, and people are also walking towards you on the other side, you can adjust your speed before hand, gauge when people walk past each other, let people know in some fashion, but I guess intuitive is very fucking subjective. I get it, shits very crowded even on week days. But you’re not special. If you have an emergency than call a fucking ambulance, otherwise I’m gunna yell at you #ottawa#ottbike#biketooter

I walked down Scott St yesterday for a few kms and I can’t even remember how many people I saw driving and texting. Stopped at an intersection and using their phones. Using a phone and driving is more dangerous than drinking and driving but the big, bad repercussions do fuck all at deterring people because “repercussions” are political window dressing. Like, the chances of killing someone while you text and drive are pretty fucking high, but, well, shrug from all involved #cdnpoli#onpoli
@dairpo I’ve seen a few cops on bikes out here on the Britannia area MUPs that should spend a day riding Scott st. They’d make so much money. I just think if you drive and text, your car should be impounded for 30 days for a first “caught” offence
