Here you'll find lots of #electronics / #embedded work. Love to design new products as well as modify existing ones. Everything is open source, and I try to share my process on YouTube. Like using #CircuitPython as much as possible, but also reach for #Arduino and native SDKs from time to time.

You have a small amount of data. Let's say <= 1kb. It's on your smartphone. You need to hand it to a microcontroller. What is the cheapest/simplest way to get it there? No options off limits

(I've left some things vague on purpose)

@ednl yeah I have used this quite a bit recently. I like dweet.io for this since it requires 0 cofinguration/authentication. Just need to handle encryption manually if that's important

@North yeah think flashy screen feels like it's gonna cover the most cases and cost the least (both impl time/components). And for the amount of data I'm proposing I feel like it would be plenty fast enough.

Not looking forward to the slowly impending doom that will mean that I either have to:

a) Migrate to another server, and lose half of the relationships I have on here, or

b) Not migrate to another server, and lose half of the relationships I have on here.

Problem I've needed to solve multiple times recently - print an image at an exact physical size (size when measured printed on a piece of paper). I have a solution now, but do others need to do this? do folks have a go-to approach? Might make a little web tool for it.

One of my first electronics projects! A ceramic Bluetooth speaker. My wife hand made all the enclosures, I did the internals. Uses one of those big ass surface transducers.

Bottom of the speaker, inside of the enclosure. A large surface transducer, a battery pack, and a bunch of wires.

Up and running! Had some extremely incorrect resistors on the USB data lines.

@gsuberland Ha very close!! The ones I had chosen on LCSC had gone out of stock and I picked replacements that were 27k instead of 27. Also not pulling to ground, these are just inline on the data lines

I also figured out a little 3D printed shim so the board fits a little more snugly in the case. And as a bonus - holds your "album" artwork in place!
