Does anyone else get the "password yips"? It's when you get really good/fast at typing a long password and then one day you mess up slightly and suddenly you cant type it accurately at all for like a week

I'm a little scared to ask but does anyone else use their phone in the shower? I've been doing this since my first IP-whatever rated phone.

FAQ:

  • Aren't you cleaning yourself?
    Second half of shower is for cleaning, phone gets placed outside.

  • Doesn't the screen get wet/unusable?
    I simply don't let it get that wet.

  • What are you doing?
    Doomscrolling, YouTube, etc.

Very happy I found this wESP32-prog programmer board before I started this project. It's similar to the standard USB->Serial circuit you'd find on most ESP dev boards, just broken out into a 6 pin header. That + some staggered holes makes for a really nice modular flashing experience. Save a bunch of room and BOM cost if you only need to flash occasionally.

Because I have no self control I made a Bluetooth HitClips cartridge and turned my old karaoke player into the worst Bluetooth speaker in the entire world

Inserting a HitClips cartridge with the Bluetooth logo into HitClips karaoke player, panning to my phone to watch it connect to a BT device called "HotClasps", then playing music and hearing it through the silly speaker.

You have a small amount of data. Let's say <= 1kb. It's on your smartphone. You need to hand it to a microcontroller. What is the cheapest/simplest way to get it there? No options off limits

  1. The number, quality, and tone of respsones I got here are why this has become my fave platform - you all rule!

  2. My desire here is to have some kind of cheap drop-in module (something stemma/qt like), drivers, and - importantly - a simple web SDK to make passing little bits of data like urls, wifi creds, basic config stuff a no-brainer...

Good q - I was thinking about room noise as well. Was thinking maybe I could do something with the phone's haptics but (despite being a mobile dev professionally) I'm not all that familiar with the APIs
