Got the new Jumperless breadboard and realized that I could have a CircuitPython app WIRE UP IT'S OWN CIRCUIT and then run the actual code. You hit save with changes and both the changes to the wiring and the code boot near instantly!!

running a circuitpython app with a chunk of code commented out. There is a button and an LED on a black breadboard with an Arduino Nano ESP32 hooked up. I hit the button and nothing happens. I bring back the chunk of code, the rows of the breadboard hooked up to the button and led light up. I start hitting the button, the LED lights while the button is pressed.

saw some dumb iostream thing on my timeline. i will therefore share my favourite c++ iostream fucking nonsense

say we have a number, as various types:

int first = 0x69;  
uint8_t second = 0x69;  
std::byte third{0x69};  

what does printing each one naively via iostream do? e.g. std::cout << first; and so on.

Been having a blast playing with val.town and used it to create a little API to generate STL files. If you visit the URL below, you'll get a file with a little 3D washer. If you change the query params, you'll get a different washer:
