Come and show and tell Board of Ed that their rejection of a bargain recommended by THEIR OWN BARGAINING TEAM is a disservice to as continue to for them. You can meet at Multnomah Co offices for 3:30, teachers are ready to go to the , is the district?!

Today, bargaining approved of a deal and the bargaining team for did too, but when it came down to it THE SCHOOL BOARD VOTED UNANIMOUSLY TO REJECT THE PROPOSAL THEIR BARGAINING TEAM RECOMMENDED! We’re coming close to week 4 of the , and with all this time I hope our community sees who is pushing to get students back to schools in a successful fashion and who is not. Expect more information regarding this afternoon’s action soon!

violetmadder,

@hadeny

This is why local elections can be so important. National elections suck a lot of air out of the room and make a lot of noise, but locally people have more real leverage to affect situations like these.

@hadeny sounds like this needs a correction? PPS is saying they are close but there was not a tentative agreement, "the parties began discussing how best to address classrooms that exceed an agreed-upon threshold... concerns about student privacy..." [if other parents were involved]
