We’re coming close to week 4 of the , and with all this time I hope our community sees who is pushing to get students back to schools in a successful fashion and who is not. Expect more information regarding this afternoon’s action soon!

    Banned . Then It Turned Down Supports for Pregnancies and Births.

    Since the overturned Roe v. Wade last year, the state’s GOP-led Legislature has disbanded a maternal mortality committee, failed to expand postpartum coverage and turned down federal grants for child care.

    @ProPublica this is 100% the reason why and ought to keep access to abortion for those coming from outside of these states as accessible and as obstacle-free as possible

    I've been walking around with a huge grin on my face all day because of the , but I keep talking to people who are depressed about it.

    These people often turn out to be natives. They all have some kind of seasonal affect that I haven't yet developed.

    Y'all native folx are weird, get a little splash of rain in late August and start looking at your scarves are mittens like a lost soulmate returned.

    But when late February rolls around and the sun peaks out in one parking lot on the other side of town, y'all suddenly forget it's still 40 out and start rocking shorts and t-shirts everywhere

    @BigAngBlack we crave the rain

    hadeny,
    @hadeny@mastodon.social avatar

    @BigAngBlack yes. I would prefer it to rain year round, the more precipitation we get the better chances we have against wildfires. that, and I’m only happy when it rains

    @jordanlund @TurblesCelbor the us vs them mentality does not help, I’m bettin there are a lot of people livin on the street that love this place as much as you. I hope the strategies you mentioned are framed from the perspective of addiction being a health epidemic

    hadeny,
    @hadeny@mastodon.social avatar

    @jordanlund @const_void job is ideal, yet there are barriers for those living in their vehicles to get one. some people are only lucky enough to have a car and not an RV, how will they keep up hygiene for an interview? how can people access addiction services when they often require good insurance or a lot of money? if they don’t have a permanent residence are they able to renew driver’s licenses? is it these barriers that make Andrew compare his situation to imprisonment?
