Look, I love tech and computer stuff as much as the next person. But does anyone else hate how car interiors are just becoming a wall of screens and touch screen buttons? I canā€™t even hop on to my favourite game for a quick 5 minutes without first needing updates/patches for drivers, software, launchers and the game itself these days- cars are just going to join this mentality, arenā€™t they? Not to mention that you wonā€™t actually feel like youā€™re driving anymore.

@EighthLayer Worst idea in the world having touch screen controls in cars. It was ok for basic menu stuff ie satnav etc where you generally do that sort of stuff stationary before you set off, but everything else being behind -a usually laggy and non responsive- touchscreen can all get to fuck.

@EighthLayer This. The voice assistants in both of these are both good enough that you can operate relatively hands free, itā€™s just a shame these donā€™t also extend to the rest of the car functionality.

Great. My go to note taking app on iPad (for handwriting) has now added AI for very generic purposes and open ended and vague privacy statements.

Went to bed early (11pm is early for me) and of course I got woken up by a work alert shortly afterwards and Iā€™ve now spent the last 2+ hours working on an issue.

Itā€™s now nearly 2:30am and I feel like I havenā€™t even slept. Tomorrow is going to be interesting.

Iā€™ve been up before 6am this morning. My washer/dryer stopped working just before Christmas and now the repair company finally has the part they need to fix it, the only appointments we could get was today between 6am and 9am, or the 30th Jan. So, obviously picked the earlier appointment. šŸ„±

I bet they donā€™t come now until 8am or something, but Sodā€™s Law says if I hadnā€™t got up, they would have been here bang on 6am. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

@britt I donā€™t know what your power output is like out of a mains socket over there (apologies if this is something you already tried!), but is there no way you could get a jumper/booster whatever you want to call it that runs off the mains power? I have a charger here on our farm that has a specific ā€œjump startā€ setting which will draw max power possible from the mains just to turn the engine over, almost bypassing the battery which may be incapable transferring any charge at this point

Or

ā€¢ Is bulky enough around the camera to protect

Iā€™m also looking into MagSafe compatible cases for a MagSafe popsocket.

I already have a bulky case I bought with the phone but Iā€™m paranoid about protecting my cameras. I work in a deli so Iā€™m constantly around stuff to bump into.

Just ordered this 180Ā° USB-C adapter for my .

Iā€™m hoping itā€™ll make it more comfortable to use whilst being charged and also extend the life of the chargers I have as well.
