i've uploaded a file to google drive with content "google is a big doodoo head". as this file is now available from an official google service, i shall be taking this as an endorsement from google of the file's content. upboots to the left!!!
all those "ai accelerator" chips being crammed into every fucking device under the sun (including SBCs!!!)
what do u reckon the average utilisation on those? and what % of that utilisation do u reckon is just like... adware spyware bullshit nobody actually wants?
@jacqueline Not sure they are very LLM-specific, but a bit more general (i.e. I doubt much has changed hardware-wise from a year or two ago where all vendors were talking about image recognition or speech recognition use cases). But agreed with the overall point, I also see a lot of this as vendors pushing it regardless of actual use in the end. Also a problem of "this is hype now, but average hardware dev cycles take so long we're probably 2 hypes down the road before stuff could ship"
using linux will save u from microsoft recall, but only in the sense that microsoft's best engineers can't work out how to record your screen in wayland
