Playing some Gold Mine Run by @reidrac on my Compaq Armada 1570D in DOS. Not DOSbox, not Windows, not any other strange configuration emulating some old machine, but just plain old MS DOS 6.22. Works nicely.

@Datassette_User I had one of those Armadas back in the early 2000s! I think a slightly newer model but with the same form factor. It was quite outdated when I got it (lack of money for a modern machine on my part) but I loved it. Very solid little computers. I wrote many uni assignments on that thing! Wish I still had it but I sold it a long time ago. ๐Ÿ˜Š

May I present to you what I believe to be the first I ever encountered that doesnโ€™t have any RAM problems ALTHOUGH it has all MT memory chips in it?!

Closeup of the C64 board with the diagnostics cartridge and the test harness. It is a 1984 assembly number 250407 board. All RAM chips look to be the original MT branded chips the computer shipped with.

Just checked the second replacement #Commodore keycap set I ordered and it is flawless (replacements for the keycaps with the slightly tilted printing are provided). The incorrectly shaped "@" keycap from the set I showed in my recent video is going to be replaced by Jim, too. Itโ€™s already in the mail. Jan is happy. ๐Ÿ˜Š

@EMR As far as I know there is going to be a solution for that problem once the Blingboard is released that CBMStuff/Jim is working on at the moment. Thatโ€™s going to be a full replacement keyboard with mechanical switches and the new keycaps. Thereโ€™s also 3d printable adapters for the Commodore keys already available (search for Mechboard64).

@derSammler Yeah, Iโ€™m not fond of large businesses abusing the pride flag in that way too. The comments were very clear about me being "political" though. There was even one person (whom I blocked now) that said LGBTQIA+ was "a cult" and they hoped I wasnโ€™t a part of it. Pretty much just plain old haters in this case.
