Context: Yesterday, @macrumors had a story where employees were discussing whether Apple would ever change the orientation of the Apple logo to reflect the iPad being used more and more in landscape orientation.

@BasicAppleGuy i think it still makes more sense in portrait as the default, mostly because the keyboard case already rotates the visible logo. But part of that is just that I still use the iPad in portrait for most things.

@christianselig that is a spicy take! I kinda agree with regards to the shutter travel though, I got one of those soft shutter releases and I found that puts the feeling ahead of the competition for me.

Random question, but does anyone get that bug in Safari on Mac where when navigating the YouTube website, sometimes you'll navigate back a page and the page won't actually change at all despite the URL updating?

@christianselig I’ve seen this kind of bug off and on throughout Safari across all the platforms over the past few years. Almost feels like it’s relying too much on a cache that gets corrupted, but then can’t move beyond it? Not sure.

@chrishannah I still feel kinda ideologically opposed to its general usage. I think some specific use cases will be incredible, but as a replacement for existing devices, I’m not a fan. The last thing I want to see is people becoming even more isolated.

@chrishannah honestly, the white balance in the stock app is what tends to push me to other apps. It’s just not good for more natural photos, it always over corrects in one dimension or another.

@gn in my experience, so many of the integrated lights use really shitty power management circuits or crummy bulbs and they flicker like mad. I’d rather just get a basic fixture and buy a nice high-quality bulb

@chrishannah the final beta release candidate is the most stuttery of all the betas this summer. Even my watch is being annoying. Unfortunately, this seems to happen every year now- the last beta introduces some last minute features and it gets all sluggish
