There should be a monthly news about the interop progress for each browser but in one place. For example, CSS zoom has just been enabled in Firefox Nightly, STP 192 added support for View Transitions, CSS d path is being implemented in WebKit. etc. etc.

Et nous ne pensons souvent qu'au sein de notre propre communauté culturelle, mais combien de billets de blogs sur un thème que j'aimerais lire mais écrit en Thai, bahasa, sesotho, pashto, burmese, etc.

@nitot @pieq c’est une fausse impression. Je pense que cela tient même de l’angoisse existentielle. Le déluge d’information fait que personne ne peut tout lire et que le message n’a d’effet que sur les convaincus qui sont exactement ceux qui suivront ailleurs. Mais accepter que nous parlons dans le vide avec une illusion de communauté est ce qui fait peur à la plupart des organisations et personnes. Une forme de politique de l’autruche.

That said I have had many times the interesting discussion while I was working at W3C with people asking me: "Why don't you force implementer X to implement web standard A?". The answer is indeed because W3C has no enforcement power and for good reasons. Industrial consortium vs Civil society.

There are a lot of careful discussions to have about enforcement of standards through regulations. Not an easy topic. Definitely.

If you are working on US Department of State website, or knows someone who does, please let me know. There are issues specific to Safari browser which are easy to avoid, and some which affects any browsers. Both for https://ceac.state.gov/ and https://travel.state.gov/

I need an extension where I can "mark as read" for section of webpages, specifically for news sites. Dimmed opacity for the block or even hidden. It could even add a timestamp on the block saying "Read on date/time" all of this kept on the client side so it is privacy preserving.

Eh bien il y a 18 ans, avec @wz43rtx et @socialbutterfly on avait basé notre blog pastiche de celui de @karlcow sur le titre de cette série, car le blog de Karl est sur « la-grange », alors on a fait « & la paille »
