offers a no-add subscription for and in the EU. I think it's a good move. But they charge €10/m while their ad revenue per user is said to be €5.50/m.

It almost looks like Meta is afraid that people would pay for services with their money and not with their privacy. 🤔

@sesivany they were forced by court. It only stops ads, not data mining, but I agree it's the right direction to go.

I maintain computers with for more than 10 people (family, friends...). This is the oldest installation: ThinkPad X201, Fedora installed in 2013, it has gone through countless upgrades, always smoothly.

@sesivany do you have a recommendation on getting a cheap durable laptop for regular users? Like second hand thinkpad.

I just got a (2022) as a new work laptop. The OLED screen looks gorgeous, I can't wait until we fully support HDR in Workstation to see the best of it and I'm also curious how OLED will handle the top bar in terms of screen burn-in.

Myslím, že v opensource komunitě příliš řešíme, co je správné a špatné, místo povolené a nepovolené.
Prodávat identickou kopii GPL SW je 🆗.
Nedodat k ní zdroják není.
Přistupovat do fediverse z proprietární aplikace je 🆗.
