2 weeks after BSidesSF/RSA & I still don’t have my voice back. Tell me all your voice recovery tips! So far I’ve tried:

  • hydration (esp throat coat tea)
  • humidifier
  • cough drops without menthol (Luden’s)
  • 48 hours of near-total vocal rest
  • ibuprofen
  • gargling salt water

Anything I missed?

@tess @Sweetshark so, stating my bias here: my daily driver is an EV, but my family does own a pickup truck - a Honda Ridgeline, which is the most efficient in the class but it's still a truck. We're avid campers and DIYers and use it to haul dirty things, and also tow a camper that's just a little too heavy for our Ioniq 5. We do want it to be the last IC vehicle we ever own, but the EV truck options on the market are either unaffordable (rivian, which seems awesome) or unhinged (cybertruck, f that)

So while you're both statistically almost certainly correct, this is why I have complicated feels about writing off a whole class of vehicle operators 😅

@tess @Sweetshark lol I just looked it up and I hadn’t quite done the math on how bad 12 mpg is… when we’re towing we still get 13 l/100km which is 18+ mpg
