lemming007,

Yes!!! It’s a great vaccine, I’ll keep supporting our great pharmaceutical companies and happily inject myself with anything they produce. They have a great track record. Fuck those antivaxxers, they don’t know what’s good for them.

lemming007,

What, the Earth will stop rotating? You do realize Earth rotation is the reason hurricanes don’t cross the equator?

lemming007,

Everyone knows will become inhospitable in a few years

Ok, buddy. Remind me in a few years. I’ll move to the equator and you can move to Antarctica, we’ll see who fares better.

The schools really are brainwashing the kids these days…

lemming007,

Starfield only helped me get interested in No Man’s Sky. It doesn’t look like I’m alone, I bet NMS enjoyed a bump in sales from Starfield.

lemming007,

I can’t sit through paying it one time, let alone 4 or 5

Starfield’s Giant Pile of 20,000 Potatoes, Explained by Game Developers - IGN (www.ign.com)

But we weren’t just impressed at the audacity of someone going through all the trouble of gathering that many potatoes. Digital Foundry’s John Linneman called the clip “mind-blowing” because all of the potatoes “have physics.” But what does it mean for something to “have physics”? Why is everyone fussing so much...

lemming007,

This game really must be boring if this is the most interesting thing about it. They were doing this kind of thing back in Skyrim, this is so tiring.

lemming007,

You can’t fault them for not giving it a fair chance.

I played for about 25 hours before I gave up.

Those 25 hours were mostly me waiting for the moment when it would finally get better. The moment never arrived.

lemming007,

I stop listening to anyone who uses the word “misinformation” unironically.

lemming007,

It’s just used as an excuse to shut down speech the government/tech companies don’t like because it doesn’t fit their narrative.

So what if someone believes the earth is flat, let the people hear and decide for themselves. That’s a bedrock of democracy, people are capable of making decisions for themselves. Not you or anyone else has a right to tell them what to believe or filter down the information they get.

StarUI, a must-have mod to replace the bad inventory UI (www.nexusmods.com)

For anyone who hasn’t yet checked out the Nexus since the game’s release, an inventory UI replacement mod has already been out for some days. It gives you a way more compact and useful inventory interface with clickable columns that you can sort by, and most importantly the value per mass column. The most important item stat...

10,000 milk cartons descend on Starfield's biggest city in newest physics benchmark (www.pcgamer.com)

Starfield players continue to push the game—and their computers–to the limit by spawning thousands of items in inappropriate places, like stuffing 20,000 potatoes in a spaceship. Watching potatoes roll out of an air lock is great, but what if you could watch 10,000 milk cartons descend onto a population zone like a lactic...

lemming007,

Spoiler alert: it is.

I uninstalled it and went back to replay Kingdom Come Deliverance. Finally remembered what it feels like to play a great game.

lemming007,

I store my own created music DAW projects under documents, in its own subfolder. However, I also store a copy of an exported mp3/flac under music.

lemming007, (edited )

I gave Starfield a fair chance, I played it for 20 hours, patiently waiting on why it deserved an “8.4” rating from critics. But it never delivered. The gameplay is a copy of Fallout 4, the user interface is a mess (they’ve gone backwards somehow) and the world is just so generic and uninspiring that I couldn’t bear one more minute of it.

I can see why it’s got a 5.5 from real players.

On a side note, the gaming reviews now mirror Rotten tomatoes. What the professional paid “critics” love, doesn’t necessarily mean the players do, and vice versa. The real players always give a more fair rating.

lemming007,

Haha, not even close comparison. Todd has been remaking the same game in the same engine for over 20 years. It’s just Elder Scrolls, Elder Scrolls in post-apocalypse and Elder Scrolls in space.

lemming007,

I hate this trend in games where now everything wants to fuck you, regardless of gender or species.

lemming007,

I’m playing the first Red Dead Redemption on Yuzu Switch emulator and having a blast. I’m a PC only player so I never played it before. I was surprised to find out its story takes place after RDR2 (which I played already) so it was a nice conclusion to the story.

lemming007,

Yes!! Abolish private property, let the government control it. Seize the means of production while you’re at it.

Wait, it seems like I’ve read that in history somewhere…

Watch this Diablo 4 Barbarian deal 7 billion damage to Uber Lilith while she's already down (www.pcgamer.com)

Hamburg City Brix faced off against Diablo 4's hardest boss with a Barbarian build focused on the absurd interaction between bleed damage and "Caged Heart of the Barber," a powerful gem exclusive to season 1. The final blow, which was really a single tick of damage from the bleed, hit Uber Lilith for more damage than any other...

lemming007,

Honestly, if you didn’t see what Diablo 4 was about from all the previews and still went ahead and bought it, it’s on you. It was apparent from the very beginning what D4 was.

It never appealed to me in the slightest and I have no intentions of buying it.

Where Do You Sit in the Movie Theater?

It seems everyone has a different sitting preference at the movies. I want the ultimate experience: the screen completely filling my vision, like I’m in the movie. Usually the third or fourth row. My wife complains we’re too close. Then I see people way in the back and it must be like watching TV the screen is so small. I...

lemming007,

We’ve also got a theater with two IMAX screens

Which theater is that? I’ve been looking for one but there isn’t one near my location, apparently there are only 30 of them? EDIT: Clarification, only 30 in the entire world that project 70mm. I was looking for one to watch Oppenheimer in.

lemming007,

Yeah, I loved Ego Draconis. DOS 1 and 2 are fine, but too many characters to worry about and too much inventory management. I’d love another single player first/third person RPG in the Divinity universe.

lemming007,

Because they can’t see what you’re downloading via direct download especially if it’s over HTTPS. On the other hand, it’s trivial to see everyone’s IP if they download the same torrent you are, then they just send letters to ISPs owning those IPs who then pass it on to you.

@pcgaming How can I fool an application to think I'm using Ethernet instead of Wifi? I tried a network bridge but it was much slower. I'm using a PCIE Wifi 6e card which has no ethernet of its own, but the PC goes have gigabit ethernet

lemming007,

Why would an application care or how would it even know?
