Ah ja. Auch Google erkennt (einfache) Cyber-Awareness-Trainings als nutzlos an

“You can’t “fix” people, but you can fix the tools”

Damit Cyber-Awareness sinnig wäre, müsste sie wie ein echter Feueralarm valide Metriken liefern, wie so ein Incident echt abläuft. Um das nächste Mal beim echten incident genau zu wissen, was passieren würde.

Aber auch: Baut lieber sichere Systeme.

@bkastl @apas_csc Ebenso kann man versuchen seltener legit Mails zu verschicken wie wie Phishing aussehen, also bspw.:

  1. von einer anderen Domain als üblich
  2. auffordern iwo sensible Daten einzugeben
  3. auf irgendwelche 3rd party Links verweisen

Man kann ja kaum Schulen wenn die eigenen Unternehmen Mails verschicken die eigentlich sehr nach Phishing aussehen.

Generell sollte man IMHO viel interne Kommunikation weg von E-Mail verlagern, dadurch reduziert man auch automatisch solche Fälle.

Leider macht Punkt (3) oben diese "Example Phishing Mail" leider genau vor: Zwar ist es toll hilfreich Ressourcen verlinken zu wollen, aber ich kann ja dann auch zum Angreifen eine solche Phishing-Trainings-Mail verschicken mit einem Link zu einem Portal... welches aber benötigt, dass man sich einloggt hust.

Stattdessen wären Instruktionen wie: Gehe auf unser zentrales Company Portal und navigiere über den Reiter Sicherheit & Privacy zu ... etc.

@thephd As someone who usually prefers C over C++ for various kinds of reasons (some of which you described very accurately as C's "merits and goals") this article speaks to me in so many ways. Making C a stripped down version of C++ doesn't do justice to either language.

Personally, if I had the energy and spoons, I'd probably drive a different agenda for C altogether though, namely effectively deprecating it and viewing every proposal through the lense of "does it inhibit switching away from C/make it more complicated to use C in a dual-language project or as glue code?"

IMHO we should add a lot of small annotations (where possible) that "simply" (cough) allow programmers to tweak the language to become more strict. nonnull (through [static 1]) is a good start. Basically allow the dev to tighten the rules and knobs of C s.t. the compiler can warn or error more or do better analysis. The whole point of it would be to help maintain old code bases as well as aid migration and discourage new projects. But that's my rather personal outlook 0:-)

Just been to the concert in the Monarch in Berlin on their tour and they played 3 unreleased songs!!

An amazing band with incredible energy, they radiate joy like no other and put on a great show. Probably my favorite band (next to ) right now :3

Okay ich muss dringendst weg von Gmail. Bekomme von meiner Grafikerin Dateien geschickt und bevor mir die angezeigt werden steht in der Mail nur als Plaintext eine AI-generierte Bildbeschreibung. Ich will NICHT, dass Gmail meine Bilder / Grafiken / sonstwas scannt - vor allem, da ich als Requisiteur da teilweise nicht wirklich jugendfreie / ethisch akzeptable Grafiken erhalte, die ich halt für den Filmdreh benötige (Mordopfer, Nazischeiße, you name it). Was zur Hölle.

@daswarkeinhuhn Ich kann migadu empfehlen: Bring-Your-Own-Domain Mail hosting, seeeehr faire Preise, kein Bullshit, wenn du Support anschreibst kriegst du ne gute technische Antwort (die verstehen ihren Kram!) und deren Webmail ist open source :)

Finde das Frontend aber tatsächlich eines der mit Abstand Besten.

Ansonsten kann migadu auch plus-addressing und catchall mit automatischer Ordner Erstellung und Filtern. DKIM, DMARC, etc. sowieso.

Musste lachen: Chat-GPT & Co. tendieren zu den Grünen, wenn sie mit den Fragen des Wahl-O-Mat konfrontiert werden. Ob man darin jetzt einen Bias in der Datenbasis sehen will oder einen Ausdruck von Vernunft einer künslichen Intelligenz, hängt wohl vor allem vom eigenen Weltbild ab.

@ennopark Ich würde behaupten es ist Bias und gleichzeitig reflektiert es gut die Haltung der Mehrheit der Internetnutzenden zu vielen Themen – und trotzdem würden die nie Grün wählen. Aber nach Wahlprogramm sind die Grünen wahrscheinlich theoretisch sogar zu einer absoluten Mehrheit fähig.

Das wirklich geschickte an der Man vs Bear Story ist, dass sie die Reaktionen der damit kritisierten Männer als wichtigen Teil der Kommunikation nutzt. Dadurch dass die sich lautstark mit misogynen, toxischen, irrationalen Kommentaren und Hass- und Gewaltphantasien melden, erbringen sie den Beweis für die These, den die eigentlich angesprochenen - also Männer, die sich noch nie Gedanken darüber gemacht haben, mit was sich Frauen tagtäglich abgeben müssen - brauchen, um die Augen auf zu kriegen.

@caroona @jensscholz Natürlich ist es ein Missverständnis. Aber es ist eben Vorhersehbar, dass viele toxische Männer genau dieses Missverständnis haben werden und das wird nicht nur hingenommen sondern gewollt. Um genau diesen Ich-Bezug zu entlarven und zu präsentieren.

We've built incredibly secure auth methods and then we fall back to ... email.

Mein Eindruck ist, dass gerade etwas ganz ähnliches passiert wie am Ende der römischen Republik. Reichtum ist so stark konzentriert, dass Akteure mit ihm die staatlichen Institutionen aushöhlen und für ihre eigenen Zwecke nutzen. Der Kontext ist anders, aber die Gefahr für die Republik ist die gleiche.

@wakehamAMR Well, with AuDHD I can sometimes (=roll a d3) function in times of crisis but then my autism needs some reeaaaal time alone to recharge; or I can work with patterns when I trick my hyperfocus to do it, but my exhaustion afterwards just lets me flop on the bed; or I don't manage anything at all (critical miss) and am a miserable pos laying depressed on the floor shrug

As someone who's experienced dating and "cues" from a male perspective and from a female one, I recently had some insights to straight(!) dating:

  • Most women tend to behave incredibly friendly towards a man they're interested in and by letting their guard down; also showing interest in the other person, going out of their way in trying to find time together. Generally just being a really decent person to people they like (duh).

  • Many men (including me, back then) don't get really understand what big sign of trust this is and also that this may be a cue.

  • Most men tend to be rather awkward around a woman they find interesting. Silently observing and not knowing what they should do with themselves. In order to find time together they even sometimes poke fun at the person in question... . Sometimes they get drunk to gather the courage and behave even more shitty. Basically they just behave like idiots.

  • Many women either don't understand that those men are just awkward little children or don't care for those man babies (who can blame them).

I've been on the receiving end of both and tbqh, I do like it better the way most women try to approach me. Anyway, that's just my random experience, maybe someone else has had similar observations or different?

@dolanor Heh, that's the hard part lol.

But instead of trying to figure this out ahead of time, I'd probably (by now) suggest giving both more time by returning the friendly behavior. If you like the other person it's generally recommend to show interest in them – if you cannot get yourself to be interested in them in more than superficial ways it won't work out anyway.

But I haven't understood the protocol of how one figures out who does the first move.

@dolanor Fair 'nough, but for me I concluded that "acting on cues" is overrated: if you just act friendly to those you are interested in (i.e., the girl way) there's no harm done, and if they happen to be interested in you, you'll realize that mutually at some point ^^'
