So, Laracon is in Texas this year.

Instead of having two PHP/PHP-adjacent conferences in Texas in the same year, we're taking a year off, and throwing our weight behind @cascadia in Portland, Oregon.

That's right. The Pacific Northwest is getting a PHP conference for the first time since 2019!

Dates are October 24-26 (Thursday-Saturday), and their CFP is open now at https://cfp.cascadiaphp.com. Sign up for their mailing list at https://cascadiaphp.com/registration to know when ticket sales go live!

Basically past-tense now, but this afternoon's tutorial block consists of Enhancing Developer Workflows: Make, PHP Tools, and Pre-Commit Hooks by Aaron Holbrook, Engaged Leadership Practicum by Leslie Martinich and Christina Aldan, and Let's Hack by @valorin

@longhorn@phpc.social avatar

...and we're well underway on this year's tutorial day! We have

Heads-up for attendees: due to logistical issues (ahem, $airline), we're swapping @valorin and @mooreds's tutorial slots tomorrow. "Let's Hack" is now at 1pm, while "Protecting Your APIs" is now at 9am. Our website and Joind.in have been updated to reflect this.

Also, we're less than 24 hours away from this year's conference. Exciting times!

hello @longhorn

based in Belgium, Europe.... so attending the conference in real time is complicated

could you confirm the talks will be made available at some point after the conference?

longhorn,
@longhorn@phpc.social avatar

@dgoosens Raw recordings will be available immediately via our streaming platform. TBD when we'll have cleaner recordings from locally-recorded video, but folks watching time shifted will get an experience comparable to livestreaming basically immediately.
