Treated myself.

@dannyjpalmer I bought a panda plushie dressed in a narwhal costume as a desk decoration at work (back when we could expense small desk decorations)

Elon visited the Nazi concentration camp in Poland today and had one, singular thought after seeing all the atrocities and the industry of death.

"How can I make all this about myself?"

Apparently the IT / IT security field is getting oversaturated with people - I have heard tht the nuclear power industry is on the cusp of a major hiring binge. Use that however you see fit.

@jerry do you want Stuxnet? Because that's how you get Stuxnet!

Pro tip: use hashes of passwords as actual passwords so that even if the password is stored in plaintext it will still be hashed

I was reading an article on Ars Technica and I clicked back in the browser which was hijacked to show me „more reading” and one of the articles was „Former Reddit co-owner arrested for excessive JSTOR downloads”

Yes, a 13 years old article about Aaron Schwartz is a clickbait now. The state of the internet today…

Reboot the phone in order to create a log that shows Pegasus.

Well, that can sway me in the direction of periodic reboots, at least for the iOS devices.

I'm sad that the same people who are happy to include foreign intelligence agencies targeting them with a >$1M 0-click exploit in their threat model for no reason do not wear hard hats all the time in case a stray piece of a Boeing 737 MAX window panel falls on their heads.

I’ve set the padlock on my gym locker to the same four digit code as PIN to my debit card.

Discuss.

@howelloneill but then if someone gets your debit card and does a thing then the money gone!!!!11111

@uoxc I generated the digits using the first few numbers of a decimal representation of the sha256 hash of a very long password

@C8H10N4O2 @NetHandle I really, honestly, for real did that. Because there’s absolutely no additional risk associated with that behaviour.
