Watched "Star wars rise of Skywalker" tonight, wasn't impressed and was extremely irritated by the bad sound quality, to hear the dialogue you needed to suffer overly loud repetitive music and incessant explosive effects.
Movies are becoming unwatchable via streaming, old B movies are more watchable than modern made for Dolby xxx crap.
The story was pure nonsense, and not in the spirit of the originals.
I love Visual Studio Code, the fact that an editor this good is free and open source under MIT license is amazing.
I have been programming for longer than I care to say, decades will suffice, and I have used many tools. Some were free but many were not.
I am still apt to use VIM, especially when working remotely but for daily work VSC works for me.
The Eszett ß character is a beautiful letter that can be read as S or double S as in Straße <> Strasse.
The problem is it isn't in the standard Latin character set and so often causes extremely bizzare rendering when used online.
I tried to enter an address with it in a UK banking app and ended up with total nonsense.
This, in 2024, should not be happening it is in the extended ASCII set and so doesn't even require UTF-8.

Just saw a post about dropbox and AI and went to check the settings, and remembered I had deleted my account in April.
So much crap I can't keep track of it all. Dropbox used to be my go to cloud server but then it became needy and greedy, and finally empty.
Just wanted to watch a Blender video demo and unfortuately it was uploaded as HDR. This isn't a problem on non HDR screens but on my MacBook it is burning my retina.
HDR is not a good format for Application UI's the whites of the text and interface are stupid bright so a massive contrast issue.

GIT is a real git, nice to have a version system but actually using it is maddening, the terminology alone is confusing and obscure.
I am still making copies of folder states as I don't trust my competence in the system at all.
One day I may understand it but for now I feel like a strager in a strange land. Every step I take is with trepidation.
Modo and Vray working it is all falling back into place, after a few years of not using it.
