I usually pick up some socks when I travel, but the youth influenced me to get this instead

2023 day 20: Emperor Palpatine in an ugly Christmas sweater. That’s Death Star II on his chest, so maybe today wraps up Endor. He also has a cozy mug and some Sith Lightning coming out of his other hand (maybe to warm the coco in the mug)

LEGO minifigures with festive elements, the foreground figure wearing a red Christmas sweater and holding a cup, and a background figure dressed in green, holding a cookie. Snowy backdrop and various LEGO pieces in the scene.

Have to keep the ladder in the living room because the cats like to climb it

I'm not a huge Disney person, but Robin Hood is special to me. Probably my 2nd favorite Disney film (after my favorite, The Emperor's New Groove).

That amazing hand drawn animation in 1973 -- the songs, voices, comedy (it's SO funny) all of it. Amazing film. I first saw it when I was pretty young, as I was born in 1980. And I recently rewatched it - it holds up!

And this year is Robin Hood's 50th anniversary. Wow. Jerrod Maruyama did this awesome commemorative piece for the occasion -- 50 merry years. Love it.

mcuellar,

@jake4480 this one has to be my number one!

In between steps in the Sunday Pizza, I've been switching my work computer from Chrome to . I've used Firefox on my personal system for ages, but have stayed on Chrome at work because it has all of my work tools.

mcuellar,

One thing keeping me in Chrome was my extensions. I'm logging into at least a half dozen different orgs all day every day. Glad to see that Salesforce ORGanizer is also in https://organizer.enree.co/

I’ve had more than enough of 11. All I ever use this computer for is to open a web browser. But maybe this way I can play a game or two

mcuellar,

@jake4480 @faylen I do have another - even older - laptop with Linux. It’s doing just fine!

Saw an article about how easy it is to move all your Instagram photos to Pixelfed (download/upload the archive on PC, you can choose which photos transfer over or not, etc.) Seriously thinking about trying it.

mcuellar,

@jake4480 I did not have an instagram to migrate, but have been experimenting with @pixelfed for a few weeks. Think I will stick with it

Today’s workout was a hike 280 meters up the San Giovanni Fortress in 30 degree sun. Very nice view of Kotor and the cruise ships brining everyone to old town (UNESCO World Heritage site)

What's the best* online community—I include things like work Slacks, project-specific communities, and communities formed on platforms or in the cracks between platforms—that you've ever been a part of? Don't overthink it, what's the thing that comes instantly to mind?

  • Most fun, least terrible, most generative, whatever.

Disclosure: I'll never quote you without asking, but I am in research mode for a thing that will be public someday, in case that matters.

Boosts super-welcome. 💫

mcuellar,

@kissane zoom. It has all the chat rooms like slack or discord, and not much to overwhelm. But I guess the difference is that it is a work community and I like the people I work with, and just hang out in the fun channels I like.
