I’ve been on the waitlist for a while and am excited to get through. It may suck but it’s worth testing. The privacy issues aren’t ideal but it doesn’t seem like they sell your data.

CHROME (google) is planing to implement DRM (kinda) into their browser (lemmy.dbzer0.com)

looks like rendering adblockers extensions obsolete with manifest-v3 was not enough so now they try to implement DRM into the browser giving the ability to any website to refuse traffic to you if you don’t run a complaint browser ( cough…firefox )...

Thanks for the reply. It seems like they’re trying to move upstream with lemmy and gain some of the new features, possibly including federation. Let’s hope they prove to be in good faith if they federate and not another tankie instance (lemmygrad).

Lack of discussion on beehaw (and lemmy)

First off, I want to say that I love what the people here are doing but I do have a problem. There is never any conversation about posts. There are tons and tons of links shared but most of the time they're just articles that someone found interesting. I never see any true, meaningful discussion the way I do on reddit. Does...

It’s SO SO much better than it was when I posted that months ago. Now it’s almost perfect for me. Not too fast that it’s addicting, not too slow that there’s no one here. The reddit blackouts really helped.
