Man, 2.5h of gaming time and I breezed through the castle in #ResidentEvil 4 Remake. I finished the fight against Salazar just in time and I'm heading for the island. I'm so low on everything, you wouldn't believe it...😬
But what really got me was the fight against Salazar's right hand. I was so certain that they would be dead after I emptied all the liquid nitrogen on them, but they just got back up. That's what I get for playing on hardcore, I guess. 😅

I've been watching #ResidentEvil - Death Island the last two days (I still have about 20 mins left), right after I finished RE - Vendetta.
I'm having some low level fun, even though Leon ends up being a bit too Special Agent epic in both movies. There's a lot of stuff going on with and on motorcycles. 🙃
People are also dying left and right so our heroes get to live. 😅
I just witnessed this conversation:
"I hope you brought backup."
"They're all dead." 🤣

Hey friends! What's a good #Linux #distro for a 15 year old laptop? 🙂
3 gigs of RAM, some kind of dual core and a built in Intel GPU.
I was thinking Xubuntu or Lubuntu, but I'd prefer something without Snap -- although I can always just uninstall it.
DE-wise, I'm usually on Gnome, but that might be too hungry for such a little machine. 😅 Probably as good a time as any to look into Sway.
It'll be used for browsing, watching videos locally and some old point & click adventures. 😁

The GameBoy had some amazing games. 🥰
I wasn't quite ready to let this system go, after speeding through Mario Land 2. So I played SML 1 too (first try, no savestates, 35 minutes) and I'm now replaying #DonkeyKong. I forgot how clever the game is at showing what you can do and how it keeps adding new things all the way until the end. I'm now at the second to last stage and I still haven't reached the "let's get this over with" state. 😁

Made surprising amounts of progress in prepping my next DnD adventure. 💪
I'm still struggling with the finer points of the actual plot, but I feel like the maps and encounters are pretty much ready.
I don't want to put too much effort into the plotting, but as things are now they don't even make sense to me.
It's very likely that my players wouldn't notice, but it bothers me. 😅 Eventually they'll also want to talk to the NPCs and things might unravel real fast if I don't have a clear idea. 😬

I finally had some time again to play #ResidentEvil 4 Remake. The last two sidequests in the castle area were a bit annoying. I couldn't find the crow for ages and I spent a bunch of ammo until I figured out the egg. 🙈
The fight with Salazar was also surprisingly hard. I died a few times until I figured it out. And I still took some hits.
Secrent Agent Leon also shot the first barrel he saw and triggered a huge fight on the island. Very sneaky... 😅

Ramon Salazar transforms into a hideous and tough monster for a final boss fight in the castle. I love how Leon just can't be bothered at the end and just shoots him before the fight. "You talk too much" indeed.
Leon can see Ashley through a barred window. So close, yet so far...

Is it just me or does the #Nintendo #Switch really have the worst parental controls?

What I expected:

• only games suitable for the configured age are displayed in restricted mode.
• Language can be configured per user.
• Parental controls are applied per user.

Instead:

• user accounts are not seperate. Language and parental controls are systemwide.
• DOOM is displayed prominently on the home screen. That's a Revenant (i.e. has a human skull) backed by flames.

There was a huge lightning storm, so I decided to keep my desktop PC turned off and instead go for some #YoshisCraftedWorld on the Switch.
Somehow, I wasn't enjoying it very much today. I keep thinking that Yoshi's Island back on the SNES feels vastly superior.
The levels in Crafted World are a bit too long and everything feels so slow. I haven't played Island in a while, but I remember it as much more snappy. However, I might just be pissed that I couldn't play RE4Make. 😅

I was in the mood for something slower today, so I started #TheGreatAceAttorneyChronicles and it is...slow.
I forgot how much the constant "Objection"s of the prosecution bring the whole momentum to a screeching halt. Whenever there's a new development and the cogs in my brain start turning to try and fit it with everything else...I'm bombarded with Objections and then everybody has to state again how pointless the new evidence is. 😩
3h and I'm still on the opening case. 🤯

Finally got some time to play #SpiderMan #MilesMorales again.
And I took some pictures for y'all. Nothing much, but I always felt like coming empty handed when talking about my play sessions. 😅
I feel like I'm coming up on the end of the game. I've cleaned up most parts of the city and the game is showing me 85% completion. Chances are good that the next play session will be the last. 🙂
I've enjoyed my time with the game and it's alright if it doesn't overstay it's welcome.

I didn't have much time, but I managed to run through the village with Ashley and put down a very naughty boy on the way in #ResidentEvil 4 Remake.
I also was happy to see the cabin fight return. 🤩 Even back in the original I found that this was one of the hardest, but also tensest parts in the game and the remake didn't disappoint. 😅
I only died once, but the game crashed multiple times and I finally made it by the skin of my teeth. 😬

@duke_of_germany ich hab jetzt die bisherigen Folgen von @loeff s "Benutze Ohr mit Lautsprecher" gehört und der #Podcast gefällt mir sehr gut. 🙂
Besonders gefällt mir, dass die Macher regelmäßig zu Wort kommen und es kleinere #Adventure Produktionen sind.
Wird auf jeden Fall in meiner Podcast Aboliste bleiben. Danke für die Empfehlung.

I finished #GhostTrick: Phantom Detective just now for the third time. And I'm ready to refresh my vows of admiration and love. 🥰
This game is amazing and I do heartily recommend it. I don't think the puzzles are too tough, but I honestly can't remember back to my first time playing through them.
You have to be open to visual novel style exposition dumps, similar to Phoenix Wright. If you are, you'll be rewarded with a heartfelt story full of twists and charming characters.

Sooo...this just happened. 😅
After less than 2h I'm already at the start of chapter 5 in #ResidentEvil 4 Remake. After finishing Detective Pikachu, I couldn't let it rest. Especially now that I can play dapper Leon. 😁
I already put down "Del Lago" and an El Gigante and met up with Ashley. I'm actually quite surprised at how much faster I can breeze through the game with better equipment and...erm...not scared and knowing what to do. 😅
This time I also properly thanked the dog.

I met Vincent Vega. A dead Ganado is leaning next to a simple toilet. I am 100% certain that this is a Pulp Fiction reference. I thought the same when I went through the game for the first time.
Leon standing in a dimmly lit and foggy room, staring at a giant skull that's just lying on a table. I love how this skull is the first you see of the Gigantes.
This time I properly said "Thanks" to the good boy. Leon is looking at a greyish white dog that's perched on top of some rock in a quarry (with white stones). This dog is so incredibly hard to find. I missed him the first time. Especially, because I was looking for him on the floor and not perched on some rock.

I only had about an hour for #ResidentEvil 4 Remake today, but I feel like I've accomplished a lot.
I played a few rounds on the shooting gallery, finished up all open sidequests and got some boat fuel in the fishing village, where I totally kicked ass...after dying a miserable and unnecessary death the first time around. 😅 Actually my first death in the game so far. I'm sure more will follow...
The next time, I'll be crossing the lake. 😬

Unbelievable, but I finally managed to finish #ShadowsOfRose, the DLC to #ResidentEvil Village.
Only took me three or four sessions to get through that three hour long game. 😅
I think it was surprisingly good. I don't know where I picked up that people didn't seem to like it, but they're wrong. It's different from other RE games, but in a good way.
Now, I'm on to RE4Make. 😁 I've already played up and through the village square and the little farm next to the windmill.

Things are looking up. I'm still hoarse and coughing a lot, but yesterday I felt like I could reach Vin Diesel depths with my voice (no speaking, just growling). 😬
I feel like getting sick used to be much more "fun" when I was younger. With kids running around there's practically no chance to sleep it off and/or start gaming once you're too sick to work, but not sick enough to sleep all day. 😅

I'm thinking about putting #LineageOS on my mother in law's phone. It's pretty old and my intention is to make it a boy more secure and maybe less laggy.
Should I be looking elsewhere or how does #LineageOS perform on older phones? Maybe an even more basic #Android install if I can find it?
What are your recommendations?

I finally finished #SpiderMan #MilesMorales.
A game I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who's into open world and/or Spider-Man. Or even people who are just up for a good story.
I really had a ton of fun with this game. And the ending caught me off guard with how much it touched my heart. 🙂

Just finished tape 6 (Zeus Suit Riot) of case 11 of #TheLovecraftTapes.
In the episode Roy hears the voice of his recently deceased son Raid on an EVP recorder. He rips off the headphones and when Jack asks him what's wrong, he answers
"I'm f-- I'll be okay."
This might have been accidental, but it was such a fitting and touching character development. 🥰 His immediate instinct is to block the conversation and keep his icy cool facade. 1/
