Heute mal wieder eine Beschwerde von einem Leser im Postfach, der sich von der Anrede "Liebe Lesende" gestört fühlt. Er erspart sich (!) aber die Erklärung dafür, warum "alle vermeintlich "gendergerechten" Formulierungen nur in sprachliche Verirrungen führen". Jo, okay, und ich erspar es mir, mit ihm drüber zu diskutieren. Und schreib die Lesenden weiter mit "Liebe Lesende" an.

Jetzt war ich so beschäftigt, dass ich es ganz verpasst hab, wie die Followerzahl auf 2222 angewachsen ist - und dann sind mittlerweile sogar noch mehr Leute dazu gekommen! Schade für mich als schöne-Zahlen-Liebhaberin, aber trotzdem toll, dass ihr alle da seid. Herzlich Willkommen!

@christianschwaegerl Ha, danke, aber spannend: bei mir zeigt es noch um einige mehr an! Hab aber schon öfters gehört, dass das bei Mastodon irgendwie nicht so ganz genau ist und dass da manchmal Leute unterschiedliche Zahlen sehen... Ich speichere mir auf jeden Fall deinen Screenshot als Erinnerungsstück. 😇

Heute beim Spaziergang durch die Nachbarschaft bei ca. jedem zweiten Laden ein Schild mit geänderten Öffnungszeiten wegen Krankheit gesehen - wenn das jetzt das "new normal" für die weiteren Winter ist... 👀

So wie die Ankunft von Threads hier seit Tagen auf und ab diskutiert wird, könnte man fast meinen, die Welt geht unter.

Schon klar, manche bewegt das Thema sehr und ein Haufen hat auch eine sehr starke Meinung dazu. Aber am Ende kann es ja zum Glück jeder handhaben, wie sieer will. Ist doch schön, dass das mal ein Problem ist, wo man sich selbst Abhilfe schaffen kann.

...aber über die Empörungsschleifen auf dem alten Twitter braucht man sich mMn echt nicht mehr aufregen, das funktioniert hier offensichtlich genau so gut wie früher drüben. Nur die Themen, die das Netzwerk bewegen, sind halt andere.

@Fischblog Meinst du? ich hab teils so absurd-abgefahren-realistische Träume, dass ich manchmal echt versucht bin, sie niederzuschreiben. Allein schon, um mich später zu fragen, WO ZUR HÖLLE das denn wieder herkam. 😅

Gerade erst den Unterschied zwischen "high fantasy" und "low fantasy" erfahren und dabei gelernt, dass ich Letzteres bevorzuge.

Ich frag mich, wie sehr Vorurteile Entscheidungen vor Gericht beeinflussen. Wenn eine Frau dieselbe Straftat wie ein Mann begeht - wie wirkt sich dann ihr Geschlecht auf das Urteil aus? Wie, wenn sie eine trans Frau ist? Oder wenn sie Schwarz ist? Welchen Einfluss hat Alter und sozioökonomischer Status? Wem "vergeben" wir welche Straftaten eher als anderen?
Gibt sicher ein paar Studien dazu, aber ohne das anrecherchiert zu haben, find ich es eigentlich ein spannendes Thema.

Ich finde es eigentlich immer noch ein Unding, dass man in Deutschland eine physische Adresse ins Impressum einer Website pappen muss. Das ist für mich wirklich der Grund, warum ich keine Website hab. Ich will nicht, dass meine persönliche Adresse für alle leicht auffindbar im Netz steht und ich hab auch keine Lust, mir extra wegen sowas ein Postfach zu mieten.

Vielleicht sind auch so viele Menschen psychisch am Ende, weil sich das alles so nicht mehr aushalten lässt.

Ich muss ganz ehrlich sagen, dass ich schon recht viel Respekt für vermeintlich links-antifaschistisch-aktivistisch gesinnte Menschen verloren hab, die sich weiterhin munter auf X herumtreiben. Irgendwann sollte das Fass doch auch bei denen mal überlaufen, würde man meinen.

@SheDrivesMobility Du erwähnst da was, was ich gar nicht so bedacht hatte: die Vorbildrolle. Ich glaube, genau daran hängt es. Es sind wahrscheinlich vor allem die Leute, zu denen ich aufgesehen hab, weil sie so meinungsstark und "stabil" wirkten, wo es doch noch etwas weh tut.

Kingfisher / Ursula Vernon: Have you all already read her Hugo 2023 awarded "Nettle and Bone", about a princess that sets out to save her sister from the clutches of a cruel prince? If not, I highly recommend you do, at least if you like stories with a modern twist on a fairy tale theme.
