Helpy people giving unsolicited advice when you just want to have a whinge is mildly irritating.

Them getting all butthurt when their unsolicited advice is not met with joy unbounded and profuse thanks is just EXHAUSTING.

You don't know me. You don't know my circumstances, or what I already do or don't do. How are you surprised that your unsolicited advice doesn't apply to my situation? It's basically inevitable.

Please, altruistic people, I know you mean well, but please, only give solicited advice. Please.

please stop presenting using light mode as something worth mocking or a worse experience

very often light mode is an accessibility and readability feature

some people just can't read on dark backgrounds well for example

or need higher contrast in general

or just work in a high-brightness environment where light mode just works better for them

They tell you before you get one that sighthounds are "really lazy," but I don't think you really grok it till you have one (or more) in the family. Like "they sleep 16-18 hours a day" is a fact that doesn't prepare you for the reality. "They really like blankets" actually means an exponential increase in the numbers of duvets and therefore duvet covers that need washing in the house.
