Wie ich noch fast niemanden erzählt habe, werde ich ab Donnerstag auf der Leipziger Buchmesse bzw. der angeschlossenen Manga Comic Con sein und mir einem Tisch in der New Artist Alley mit Keizumi teilen.

Ich führe ein bisschen mein neues Spielzeug vor und biete Portraits mit dem Pen Plotter und/oder Gouache-Farben an.

Weil ich's nicht lassen konnte, habe ich auch noch den Lageplan hübsch gemacht und unseren Stand nachmodelliert. XD

Psssst 🤫 heimlich wurde ein Sticker von @mullana bei uns in den Shop geschmuggelt. Hierbei handelt es sich um das bekannte Netz Neutralität Motiv im Art Deco Stil. Es ist mit 7x13.5 cm kleiner als die vorherigen Versionen. Eine Besonderheit, sind hier die goldenen Ränder.

Ok, vielleicht wollten sie der Dummheit der Menschheit vorgreifen. Vielen der Leute, die wir so an die Macht wählen, traue ich nicht zu zu verstehen, was "KI" kann und was nicht. 😬

The second season of Just a Goblin was announced to start in March. I'm guessing the tone of the story is gonna change quite a bit again, though I'm not sure in which direction. I kind of expect a few fun, light-hearted prison episodes to contrast the ending of season one. 😅 I still went for the "a lot to process" mood in this .

Is anyone else on the Fediverse reading ?

One thing I wish I could have done more of last year is drawing (or in that case, painting) personal work. That's gotta get better in 2024!

I've set my eyes on a set of Nicker poster colors from Japan. But before I try to find a way to get my hands on them, I figured I should use the gouache I bought and barely used last year a little more often.

Maybe I should try to make a comic with gouache backgrounds like those.

Fun fact: I either lost or forgot to buy a tube of green color. So all the green here is a mix of ultramarine and lemon yellow (and sometimes whatever was left on the palette to make it a bit duller). Schmincke Designers Gouache is so vibrant that it still comes out super juicy. Probably not lightfast, though.

Joah, ich glaube jetzt ist der überfällige Moment, wo ich die Episodenbilder für Logbuch Netzpolitik und Freakshow deaktiviere.

Die KI-Bilder mögen ne ganz witzige Spielerei sein, aber ich finde sie weder schön noch nützlich und im Gegenteil "verliere" ich immer wieder Episoden in meiner Playlist, weil ich nicht erkennen kann, zu welchem Podcast sie gehören.

Was ist denn das große Problem daran?
Ich öffne 90% aller CN Hinweise in meinem Feed ohne groß drüber nachzudenken. Und wenn mir ein Thema zu viel in die Timeline geschwemmt wird, ist es praktisch, weil ich nicht den ganzen Post lesen muss um zu wissen, dass es schon wieder darum geht. Spart mir mehr Zeit als es kostet.

So habe ich das auch nicht verstanden. Ich sage nur, dass ich persönlich es nicht anstrengend, sondern hilfreich finde. Vielleicht hängt das aber auch ein bisschen vom Client ab.
CNs sind für mich mehr wie Überschriften. Oder im Gespräch wie ein "Hast du schon von XY gehört" bevor man anfängt, eine Person mit einem Thema zuzutexten. Es ist irgendwie... höflicher. Respektvoller.

Für die Diskussion wäre interessant zu wissen, ob und wie sehr CNs tatsächlich die Sichtbarkeit einschränken.

Fast ein wenig schade, dass die so aus der Mode gekommen sind. Aber die sind auch super langsam im Vergleich zu Druckern. Das Bild ist jetzt nicht sooo komplex und hat eine gute Stunde gebraucht! Die Geduld hat heute keiner mehr, es sei denn es ist für Kunst.
