IMO robienie sieci społecznościowych bez słuchania społeczności, bez wpływu społeczności na sieć, to tylko wykorzystywanie społeczności jako publiczności do oglądania reklam.
Dlatego #GAFAM nie robi sieci społecznościowych, w zasadzie nigdy nie robił.
Bo na pytanie: po co to jest robione, odpowiedź brzmi: dla pieniędzy.
W #Fedi odpowiedź brzmi: dla społeczności.
To największa różnica między Twittrem a Mastodonem, Youtubem a Peertubem.
#GAFAM ma środki i specjalistów od dopieszczania produktu, więc ma ludzi. Fedi ma dobre chęci i pasjonatów.
Moment, gdy Fedi, jako rodzaj dobra wspólnego zostanie docenione przez np. organizacje państwowe i ponadpaństwowe, czy mecenat, zostaną przeznaczone środki na inwestycje, zmieni WSZYSTKO.
Bez tego Fedi wróci (w PL) do swojego pierwotnego zadania: dostarczyć sieć społecznościową osobom, które je stworzyły i nadal tworzą. W tym jest doskonałe.
Szkoda mi, jeśli szansa na popularyzację standardów obowiązujących w Fedi, przepadnie. Bo drugiego podejścia nie będzie.

Occasionally I have heard Fediversians talk about reviving #webRings. Web rings had some serious problems. No protocol for inclusion, no sense of how big they are, no anchor text (just click "next" and see what you get)…
What about a #RingWeb? The Ring Web is a web of web rings!
A #WebRing should be a thing. To make the ring a thing, a collection of people (or #Fedi instances) could run some one-liner that does a worse-is-better style synchronization with regard to what defines the ring. That way you know what thing the ring is.
These ring things should be at-a-glance simple, delete themselves on abuse, and super easily reinstantiate with most of the same members.
I think this could be the beginning of a truly #polycentric architecture.
Nie wiem czym to jest spowodowane, ale w #Fedi jeszcze nie spotkałem się z kimś, kogo bym serio nie lubił.
Była jedna osoba, do której miałem uraz, ale jej wybaczyłem (chociaż może w sumie nawet o tym nie wie).
Na innych socjalach mam po kilkanaście bloków. A tu po prostu fajni ludzie są, niezależnie od poglądów 😊

#Ghost to popularny system bloga z newsletterem, niektórzy twierdzą, że na odwrót, alternatywa dla WordPress, popularna za granicą, u nas mniej, bo nie wystarczy mu biedahosting z PHP (inb4: kocham PHP i tanie czy darmowe hostingi).
Chyba stwierdzili, że #Fediwersum się jednak przyjmie, bo nie tylko zaimplementują #ActivityPub w systemie, ale również piszą czytnik, który w końcu sensownie będzie pokazywał Artykuły (tak, Mastodon od lat NIE CHCE tego zrobić, trzyma się Notki jak Twitter i blokuje tym rozwój Fedi, tzn. jego popularność, Mastodona, w mojej ocenie).

Dobrym podejściem są też web-aplikacje starające się integrować wiele profili z różnych serwisów. Np. #Phanpy, który ostatnio integruje #Mastodon i #Pixelfed (jego Media-firt UI jest świetne).
Innym tematem jest uparte trzymanie się przez Mastodona obsługi jedynie typu Note (i ułomne wyświetlanie Article). A ponieważ Mastodon dominuje w #Fedi, nie rozwija się (tak jak mogłoby) wsparcie dla innych typów treści #ActivityPub: image, video, audio, artist, album, track, playlist. De facto obrazki czy filmiki albo audio to po prostu załączniki do typu Note, bo Masto tak ma i nic innego nie wyświetli :/
Więc IMO pole do rozwoju jest ogromne, nie trzymajmy się kurczowo jednego konta (to wymysł marketingowców budujących silosy), zostańmy przy jeden login do wielu usług, jeśli już musimy ;)

I'm a lover of the decentralised web and try to push things like the Fediverse to people to use as the internet is built to be decentralised and not run by companies like META, Twitter, Reddit or others.
I also support things like bridges from the centralised web to make it easier for people to decentralise themselves.
12yo son has #scoliosis and just got measured for his brace. As a family we have zero experience with this. Any advice or words of wisdom would be appreciated. Thanks #fedi
Not sure if other people do this, but I use notifications of favorites/boosts as a discovery mechanism for accounts to possibly follow.
I mean it's a potential sign they have similar interests, so might as well visit the profile and see if they post interesting stuff you want to see more of.
I'll often favorite a few posts along the way too, which I hope doesn't seem too weird to people!
