@jamielynn I've always thought of it as a First Amendment issue. The only folks I know who are opposed to women's abortion rights think there is something special (spirit? soul?) about a certain collection of cells. As an atheist I reject that interpretation.
Pregnancy dreams are something else. Last one had Elon Musk kidnapping women to a secluded mountain castle and forcing them to dangle on a towering swingset straddling a meat-lined fjord
@taylorlorenz Damn, that's nuts. I had seen the first one and that was bad enough, but the second... When I was a young kids were taught from the cradle that the Nazis were evil. WTF is happening?
The willfully obtuse blaming of Google and Facebook for standing up to the extortion scheme Canada and Big Media cooked up would be bad enough, but a lot of it is coming from journalists who can't be bothered to learn what's actually going on -- or who don't care because it's money that may go to their bosses.
Google's apparent decision to stop indexing (or at least displaying in search results) Twitter pages that require a user login makes sense to me. But wouldn't the same logic apply to news-site pages behind paywalls?
I don't suppose you know if this was part of some purge? I woke up this morning to find myself perma-banned from Twitter, no clue why, no explanation. I put in appeal.
@Lazarou If I had to offer a guess I think perhaps someone went crazy reporting users they didn't like (or whose politics they didn't like) and Twitter just automatically banned a bunch of people. Then the appeals came rolling in so they just unbanned without must question. That best explains to me why I got banned, and why it took very little pushback to get reinstated very quickly.
