Je viens de passer 1h au téléphone pour parler avec Service Canada pour l'assurance emploi.

J'étais sûr qu'il y avait une erreur, les montants sont tellement petits...

Mais non, tout est apparemment normal. L'assurance emploi est juste vraiment nulle. 😖

Et le plus fâchant, c'est que leur budget provient à 100% des retenues sur nos salaires. Le gouvernement ne met pas une cenne là-dedans!

Depuis 30 ans, les gouvernements libéraux et conservateurs ont changé les lois pour rendre le chômage de moins en moins accessible. Donc c'est notre argent, mais on n'a pas le droit de l'utiliser parce que les règles sont de plus en plus compliquées! 😠

Et après, ils ne se gênent pas pour piger dans le budget pour financer leur autres projets!

C'est ça le colonialisme des temps moderne: profiter de la précarité des gens pour leur faire faire du travail que personne ne veux faire, s'enrichir. I’d like to report suspicious activity going on with @pixelfed whereby I think they are collecting user data. I deleted my account one weak ago and despite my deletion where my account no longer shows on pixelfed.social , it is still showing on federated instances.

I deleted my account a week ago (and deleted all my posts using the Pixelfed application on the iPhone) but they still show on the Mastodon, Mammoth and Ivory.

That's the downside of federation. Your content has spread to a lot of servers. You need to trust those servers to respect your request to delete. Which they might not do either because of bugs, network mistakes or mischief.

Not much you can do other than contacting each of these servers' admins manually.

@intothetilian @intothetilian No I meant all the servers who received you messages over time. The pixelfed server already deleted your posts. It's the hundreds of copies on every instances that are still there. The Pixelfed server and its admin can't delete that for you.

Isn't that what happened to email? And now it's pretty much impossible to run your own server because the big servers will mark your mail as spam.

J’entends parfois dire que faire du sport permet d’augmenter a sa production de dopamine, et que ça peut aider quand on a un .

Alors je suis allé·e courir cet après-midi. Ça a semi-fonctionné : depuis j’ai fait tourner et étendu une machine de linge, nettoyé le lavabo, me suis occupé·e d’un pack de soupe périmée qui traînait dans l’appart’ depuis des années… mais maintenant je suis vautré·e sur le canapé et j’ai la flemme de faire à manger.
