Well, I covered the lavender in my flowerbed as I do every year.

My beloved lavender is old and thin, I could fit the pots of Mitsuba and blue Salvia also tucked inside. I’m getting good at wrapping this half diamond shaped frame. 😁👌

Honestly, I'm not entirely sure about the whole Threads thing but from looking at their terms of service any interaction opens you up to their data harvesting. I guess I'm going to block proactively since once you let them in, there's no going back.

It seems all three iPhone apps I have don’t have the option to block the instance, and only IceCubesApp stays in the Mastodon when I click the link (the other two go to Insta page).

I guess I have to use the PC laptop. I’ve never used web version, but I should be able to figure out… right?!

Lil Marty somehow hurt his foot yesterday, and has been limping. He was running around in full speed the day before, and I don’t know how it happened. Looks like a sprain, but I’m keeping a close eye. He seems ok, still climbs to the top of the rat manor, rides my shoulder, and trots around.
Pls send positive healing vibes his way. Thank you! 🫶🐀💕

Our agouti rattie sits in the corner of the shelf in his rat manor and finishes eating a morceau of homemade rattie food. He’s facing to the left, his butt against the metal wire wall, using the right hand to hold food while helping to support the weight as his left foot is slightly off the floor. It’s a horizontal photo, and there are the blue corner litter tray and the blue little ceramic bowl in the left. The floor is covered with a light grey piece of old sweat pants.

I grew up using Celsius.

Celsius is easy to fathom. Water freezes at 0℃, and boils at 100℃. 50℃ water feels hot to touch to human hands.

Comfortable room temperature is around 22℃. Expensive (delicate) green teas must be brewed at 70℃ or lower. Hot Japanese bath at 40℃ kills sperms in several minutes. ♨️😂 Average human body temperature is around 36.5~37℃. 4℃ water is the heaviest. 👀💧

Why can’t most (EU or US) restaurants make good or even food?

It’s like they think it has to taste of nothing to be considered vegan.. and they can’t think of a new meal from scratch but need to start from an existing meat meal, remove everything non-vegan from it, and replace it with salad (or cauliflower, if you’re lucky).

I know it can be so much better because some restaurants are really good at it. But it shouldn’t be that hard, right?

Edit: added "EU or US" because these are the ones I'm complaining about, really

IMHO, all restaurants should hire chefs who know how to make food taste good without meat/dairy. Period.

I find Asian restaurants often have better veg options. 😋💚

They looked like angels. And for the most part, they were! But because they spent the crucial early months in the shelter, they weren’t easy to handle. (Or it could’ve been me who wasn’t fluent in the language of rats.) I learned a lot from them. 🥰💕🐁🐁✨

Same scene, but now Tillie is on top of Tessie. She’s using her sister as a body pillow. They’re both facing left. Tillie’s left hand drapes over Tessie, which looks so adorable. The emerald green fabric floor makes them pop.
