Is it me, or are some secrets of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night just a tiny bit too well hidden? Like the sword card. How would you ever think, oh this spot in this giant ceiling looks like there could be a secret hidden behind it?

Aria of Sorrow was a good game, but it really could have been longer. And the story was kinda weird.

Day 4, I continue to work on the Game Design Document, for now, already 40 pages of text. Most of the gameplay is already in my head and I like it. I will describe the crafting section soon. Craft will be one of the core mechanics

Listening to some of the suggestions of the jam, I now updated the controls on my game page as a little practice

@djlink I used ESC in the beginning. But it was a problem in the web build. And for the jam I focused on the web build, since people mostly play that one.
But yeah, for my post-jam version, which will be focusing on PC release, I will add it again :)

I am still not sure what makes more sense and is easier to code and maintain. Loading all the rooms at game start or loading them when I enter them.
And which makes it easier to implement a mini map and a decent camera.

Does anyone know a nice tutorial on how to fix the camera for a in with different room sizes?

My jam game is approx. 70 MB big. And then I go onto STEAM and see Momodora III being just 34 MB big. Makes me wonder what I am doing wrong.

@MIfoodie oh, in that case I'd advise against it :D don"t get me wrong. I LOVE this game. But it is a very expensive hobby unless you have a group of people who play kitchen table magic with you. Then money doesn't matter.

@MIfoodie I unfortunately do not have such a group anymore. Which makes it more expensive to play and have fun
