"Medicine, law, business, engineering—these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life, but poetry, beauty, romance, love—these are what we stay alive for."
— Dead Poets Society
Imagine if, instead of screwing over Twitter as a $44 billion dollar vanity project, Elon had invested in telescopes? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3xCRLJjSQAA&ab_channel=SciShow the Habitable Exoplanet Explorer will probably never be built & he could have had four of them! (or kept a cool $33 billion in his pocket)
@robcee it was sooo disappointing... I get that he's going for a certain retro appeal, but, for the love of God, hire a screenwriter. Have an actual plot. Give the characters an arc and some feeling.
Has NASA spotted life on an exoplanet? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iC95VzD7ALs Anton Petrov looks at the evidence. More observations are needed, but this is a huge step forward in the exploration of extraterrestrial life!
Watch this space! With JWST, we're starting to find planets with chemical signatures that may indicate life, including methane, CO2 and an obscure molecule that, on Earth, is ONLY produced by life, dimethyl sulphide https://twitter.com/Astronomy_Matt/status/1701243287267365265
Star Wars: Return of the Jedi from a Certain Point of View is out today, with a whopping FORTY stories spotlighting different characters from RotJ. I took on the Sarlacc —— Disney Plus still remembers how I obsessively rewatched the same bits of RotJ and The Book of Boba Fett to get all the details right.
Whatever you do, don't miss Star Wars: Return of the Jedi from a Certain Point of View https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08C9TKM9M this is fandom at its peak and contains a story by the awesome @charliejane
