I asked ChatGPT and another AI to generate qbsh scripts and even gave it commands like CALC and PIP to incorporate. It clearly had bash in the crunchbang. When I suggested it wasn't qbsh, it apologized, removed that line and told me it was more using correct syntax and not "bash built-ins" and hallucinated qbsh commands that don't exist like GREP. It was pretty hilarious.
@ChasMusic@vwbusguy There’s no guarantee that a screen reader will provide OCR of text in images as a rule. They may provide it only demand, or not at all. Even if it’s available and invoked, there’s no guarantee that the OCR will be accurate or complete. (As you’ve just demonstrated, “AI” is not always accurate.) To provide a reliable transcript of text in images, you need to add it as alt or as a caption accompanying the image.
I'm so glad Carmen Rubio is running for Mayor of #Portland for two reasons: 1) the alternatives are terrible and 2) most importantly, it's time for a woman to be in charge of this city. Men have had their chance for the past 16 years (no offense to my dudes out there) & I don't think we can say we're better for it. #mayor#carmenrubio
@enobacon@greendesignek Rubio would often bloc with Hardesty, and she’s been the lone vote against some of Dan/Ted/Mingus/Rene’s boneheaded ideas. That ain’t nothing, though I’m still not wild about her track record (see Zenith, “idk more cops,” etc).
Surprised to see that in the iOS Weather app when you are using the largest accessibility text size the chart legend shows the large text, but each axis of the chart retains very small text.
I just got asked a very interesting question: let’s say you want to create a really stunning website and part of that is that you change the mouse cursor to various custom cursors, like arrows, pointers, crosses, buttons, whatever, when you move it around or hover over things.
How can you make sure the website is still accessible? Given the website is still fully keyboard-accessible, is there anything particular to consider – like fallbacks, user-specific settings, etc? 🤔
@matthiasott My main question is, Stunning for who?
I don’t mean that as a gotcha. Consider what you intend to convey with those customizations, and who might (or might not) benefit or be bothered by them. Try to be specific with what you want, and be realistic about who is affected and how.
#PBOT director said the #swBroadway#pdxBikes lane is "mired with controversy." 🙄 which is code for commissioner mapps is trying to woo the business association, or roughly 3-5 millionaires. Regular #Portland#transportation politics, for and by people with their brains stuck in traffic.
@enobacon Heh I was only looking as far as tomorrow 😂 Within a 3 hour span on Saturday there are rides about: beekeeping; being punctual; a murder mystery TV show from the ‘80s; and stationery.
I do think niche rides bring in new folks. Like on the Ukulele Jam ride, there definitely seemed to be folks who were uke players first and bike riders second. Same vibe goes for the Queer Creatures Ride, KMHD Ride, Idaho Ride, …
