Time to see how well I can replicate either the #Chromevox and/or #Talkback keyboard experience with the #jieshuo screen reader's 'Hotkey Scheme' feature. The default has 'waaaaaaaay' too many conflicts in my view (particularly if using web browsers that support keyboard shortcuts).
And since people are able to share said keyboard layouts, anyone thought of creating a #WindowEyes or #SuperNova/#Hal layout?
Greetings #Equestria! Just another random good morning from Celestia via #ElevenLabs, short and sweet.
Also, #TMobile#Money ain't a bad bank. No it ain't my primary (that goes to #CapitalOne), but the fact it lowers my phone bill even lower now? I myself am highly pleased with it!
Well, until I get a Windows machine (watch this space), I'll be using Eleven labs for character voice cloning. Thanks to V2 of the language model (still in Alpha), at least the voices are now sounding more like themselves.
If I don't win a surface pro 9 from Microsoft (which I did sign up for a Bing Rewards Surface sweepstakes throwing in 75 entries for that alone), I'll save up for a Lenovo ThinkPad or Ideapad with a Nvidia card.
One of the reasons why I will be getting a newer Windows machine soon. Not just for AI TTS audio stories like I did while the pandemic was at its peak, but as I have returned back to Android full time once more (Galaxy S23+ in this case), the Windows intagration with Samsung Dex will be quite a useful thing.
The one thing I truly give #meta credit for (regardless of anyone's hatred for them), is the fact that 'pictures' and 'captions' are automatically described. Something sadly that the #Fediverse will most likely never be able to do in this lifetime.
@queenslight I find most of facebook's auto-generated descriptions useless. What Meta should is encourage and make it easier for posters to make their own descriptions! One can dream...
I don't think y'all are among the #AppleVis community, but I just wanted to pass along the below link, since I mentioned y'all over there. I think it's my third time mentioning thy peeps of said project among said walls.
FYI: The thread I didn't create myself, but it's the first comment on page three of said thread:
@queenslight Thanks for mentioning us on Applevis. That's priceless. One thing we suffer from the most is the lack of feedback we get from Android users, as you wrote in your post. Without the help of the community, we can't do it all alone as the Accessible Android editorial staff and Blind Android Users podcast crew. We try our best to offer as many resources as possible, but we need our Android community on our side.
@MariahL@queenslight Fun Fact: Celestia's voice was made with voice files from the #PPP (Pony Preservation Project). Used around 30 voice lines, got two uploaded audio samples out of it, lasting for around 2 minutes or so of speaking lines.
To both my #Mastodon mates & #Calckey countrymen, you can now reach me among all of #Meta via the simple username of ‘TDMFIM’, where said acronym in full proclaims ‘Trenton Duane Matthews, Friendship Is Magic’.
@JStark I should note also, it’s best to download the app first, and get that all squared away. Before trying out the web version of it (which I still need to investigate.
