Seriously, why is the USA supporting Israel?

The US is supporting Israel through what we can mostly all agree is a genocide of the Gazans. Clearly, Biden isn’t a genocidal maniac, yet he’s all in with unwavering support. Why are we doing this? There has to be a logical reason that isn’t just “we want Israel to kill everyone in Gaza and take their land a la...

A sizable portion does. And the whole political system is built such that the extremists get a disproportionate say in policy.

Finnish mustard is mainly used with sausages, yule ham, and in pea soup. Yummy.

The thing about mutually assured destruction is that it assures everyone loses. I wasn’t too worried. Accidental launches could happen and we got close a couple of times.

Most of the time it was chill. Lots of spy movies. And all sorts of propaganda was flying about.

The most I remember too about Disneyland Paris are the queues. And from what I have read our experience is very common.

There’s a reason why Russians do not believe democracy can work. It is the fact that the only brief time there was democracy in Russia in the past few hundred years was a time of unmitigated chaos. The transition away from communism was un utter disaster. The west didn’t help either. All the west did was try take a piece of the pie.

Maybe we should ask Gerasimov if he’s seen him.

Oh wait.

You were disabled. You're stuck laying down most of the day. What do you do to earn a living and survive?

You were disabled and realize it is not getting better, and no one seems to be able to fix the issue. You’re stuck laying down most of the day, you have enough mobility to function at home, but anything outside of home leaves you in bad shape beyond your control where you are not professionally functional. What do you do to...

I work in an office typing on a keyboard all day. I could easily do this job from home.

Any job that fits that description will suit you. There are quite a few of them nowadays.

You don’t have to imagine. Just have a look at some of the things Russian politicians say. e.g. Medvedev

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs says ‘US credibility is at stake’ when asked about Trump’s NATO comments (www.cnn.com)

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. CQ Brown said Monday that “US credibility is at stake” in the wake of comments from former President Donald Trump that he would encourage Russia to “do whatever the hell they want” to NATO partners that don’t meet spending guidelines on defense....

I’d like to say when the shit hits the fan. But that was years ago. So I think it’ll be when they get real personal consequences. And even then for some it’ll never be over.

Also in the faster time formats it is a valid strategy to move faster than your opponent forcing them to run out of time. Even though you might be a queen or two down. But if they can’t mate you in the time allotted, well…

Russia has now transformed to a wartime economy. Nordic and Baltic countries closest to Russia have got the message and are preparing (cepa.org)

Finland, despite its status as the newest NATO member, is in a better condition than most of the other 28 European alliance members. Empty stockpiles and slow armaments production are causing concern elsewhere in Europe, but not so in Finland....

They’re gaining invaluable battlefield experience that NATO troops simply aren’t.

Oh, yes they are. Ukraine is in close contact with NATO countries and sharing intel. NATO countries are also buying drones in bulk right now. And developing ones that Russia will not see until they try to pick a fight with NATO.

In Sweden that might be true. But in the UK the monarch has some vestigial power. Even though everyone assures that if he ever tried to actually use those powers they would be taken away. But it doesn’t change the fact that in the UK the monarch still has power.

The planet will be fine. Humans on the other hand not so much. The planet is quickly becoming uninhabitable by humans. The genocides are just hurrying that process along.

Agreement on “military Schengen” easing troop movement signed by Poland, Germany and Netherlands (notesfrompoland.com)

Poland, Germany and the Netherlands have signed an agreement on plans to create a “military transport corridor” that would allow troops and equipment to be moved more easily through their territories to bolster NATO’s eastern flank....

And yet in the polls they are still popular. Which I find baffling. The presumptive candidate for president in the second round is from the ruling right wing party.

It’s like people don’t know what they are voting for or don’t care.
