Neulich saß ich auf meiner Lieblingsdenkschüssel und dachte: Fuck, wenn jetzt wirklich vor die Hunde gehen sollte, nachdem Neubesitzer Songtradr ja 50% der Belegschaft rausgeworfen hat, was machen wir dann?

Dann: Man müsste eine gründen! Ich erwog all die Schritte, dachte an Software-Entwicklung, Zahlungsdienstleister, Serverlandschaften und vor allem an Deutsches Recht, entsorgte die Idee und zog ab.

Zum Glück bin ich nicht der einzige mit der Idee, und hier entwickelt sich offenbar nun genau eine solche: https://jam.coop/about

Ist es gut, ist es schlecht? Wissen wir noch necht.

Aber Aufmerksamkeit verdient definitiv! Vielleicht wird es die notwendige Alternative sein.

@nielso Ich hoffe es, dass es sich gut entwickelt.
Habe dort ein Konto angelegt und wollte ein Album hochladen. Leider kam ein Fehler. Aber die Entwickler dort sind sehr freundlich, auch wenn man mal eine Weile auf die Antwort warten muss (so wie jetzt ;-) ).

8x8 Font Advent Calendar 2023 Day 4

GEOS64

The GEOS desktop UI from Berkley Systems in 1986 is an incredible feat - achieving what took the Mac a 16-bit processor and over twice the memory.

The 64's resolution required carefully designed typography and "BSW" system fonts were proportionally rendered to great effect.

Included here are bold and non-bold as well as the tiny desktop icon font as a bonus!

Habe gerade mit dem Amazon "Kundenservice" gechattet und innerhalb von Sekunden ein Problem lösen können. Ich glaube, die setzen da keine Menschen mehr für ein, sondern ein Sprachmodell. Anders kann ich mir die rasche und problemlose Lösung nicht vorstellen. Die Antworten kamen auch alle viel zu schnell und zu präzise.

i worked on a song on sunday within the limitations of the .XM mod format, so one note column per channel, no resonant filters, no effects, no vst plugins or instruments, no eq or compression, and it felt so freeing to simply work with mono samples and loops I had sampled or generated, finding fun ways to sequence them and let the samples be expressed in different ways, constantly moving forward with new ideas. No noodling 🍜
