How are those two things even comparable? One is a fascist and the other an old man. They don’t belong in the same sentence let alone a discussion about who is a qualified candidate for president. Get the fuck out of here with this garbage.
As if Americans have any control over the change. Even if they/we did want it our capitalist overlords would never allow it to happen. They only want the illusion of freedom.
I don’t know any true Christians who are MAGA or racists or even bigots. But with the commonly used definition that if someone says something is bad they automatically are seen as hating the people doing it many people arguing in communities like that would be called haters or bigots and possibly be banned here on lemmy.world....
I would welcome them but I don’t know how long that would last. The problem for me is that Christianity, in its current form, holds several views that I fundamentally disagree with and believe make it a hate group. I’m not tolerant of that.
Are they? I haven’t seen anyone demanding that yet but I’m certainly not a seasoned fediverse vet. I never cared about Karma on Reddit so hopefully it doesn’t make it here.
I was at a fast food place a few days ago and the drive tru employee asked me if I wanted to round up. I asked him for what and he didn’t know. Just wanted to round up to the nearest dollar for the fuck of it I guess. Shit is already too expensive without corporations asking for a handout.
Most eggs sold in American stores are pasteurized. It is most likely fine to eat raw eggs bought in America as well. You just need to avoid the unpasteurized ones which I have never seen sold in stores. I’m not saying they aren’t, I just don’t see them.
I honestly don’t care what it’s called. I have no idea what wefwef means or even how to pronounce it. I appreciate the work done to make it for us though.
For some of us the final day was weeks ago. It’s time to let go and focus on what you have. Why are we all still obsessing over ducking Reddit. It’s over. Done.
I’ve seen many comments and posts regarding the API fiasco on Reddit, with the claim that there will be a huge influx of users when that happens. I’m all for it, but I find it hard to believe that the average or even above average user will make the effort to switch.
Anyone here watching Silo? The 8th episode just aired which means there are two episodes left. So far I've been enjoying this a lot despite some people claiming it was a little slow in the middle. It's only 10 episodes long so even the whole thing goes by pretty quick....
Thank you! So by default, when come to Lemmy.world are the “posts” (not sure if that is the right term) I see on the lemmy.world instance only? If I subscribe to one like you said will it start to show in my default view? I’m probably just trying to apply my Reddit thinking here and need to change my perspective.
I am a software engineer and have interest in creating tools to help but feel like I need a better understanding of the fediverse first.
