I almost bought a FireTV this week, and then I saw Amazon is increasing the amount of advertising they put on it.

My dog of 11 years transitioned today at ~16 years old. She was a gem. I find peace knowing she didn't have to suffer and took very good care of her. It's still hard to lose a beloved companion.

Achievement unlocked! First time getting an “excellent” from a dentist.

I guess actually flossing daily does indeed make dentists happy. After a year of InvisAlign forcing me to floss 4–6 times a day, once a day to use my retainer/grind guard seems so easy.

My first internet connected computer had a 2400bps modem. 29 years later a 1Gigabit fiber connection is 416,666 times faster and that's not even the fastest by today's standards.I remember a system 7.5.x update taking 8 hours to load. I want that part of my life back.

I’m amazed at how far computer graphics have progressed in my lifetime. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I7zyNDazmGQ with Unreal Engine 5.2 is a great example of that. A far cry from 8-bit graphics of my early childhood.
