The Lidl Wiesbaden does not have wild garlic. This seems to be totally a Southern German thing (yes, if they had it I would have brought it all the way from Wiesbaden to Leiden, I even had an extra bag packed to transport it safely) 😭😭😭😭

@vicgrinberg wild garlic shouldn’t be that hard to get in Leiden? It’s called “daslook” in Dutch.

@vicgrinberg I just remember it as quite a common thing, so I’m surprised to hear it’s not.
I don’t know what physical store would have it, I think biological shops might, but I found a few online shops that sell it at least.
Also, intratuin sells the plants, if you have a garden you could grow your own :).

I am surprised how hard it is to find the fresh consumption-ready thing. Dried leaves, easier. Plants/bulbs, also easy. Maybe that’s why I remember it as being common. But I’ll keep my eyes open in stores.

Travelling to the UK by train today.
First train: delayed by 10 minutes on departure due to passengers with huge suitcases all trying to enter the train simultaneously through the same narrow door. Now we’ve departed: screaming kids, loud conversations and cramped seats.
At times like this I particularly miss the Shinkansen…

I thought I’d be irritated having to pay 1~2 euros for the public toilets in Paris. But the fact you can tap your card (no change needed) and the bathrooms are clean, with toilet paper, soap, hand towels & attendants actually makes it pretty great. As someone who periodically has stomach issues, it’s also anxiety reducing (there are places you would not want to be stuck for a prolonged period…!).

Although I say this from the privilege of not having to worry about spending several euros.

The new Meow Wolf collab course for Walkabout Minigolf is absolutely stunning! 💫✨🌟 The textures are incredible, and the course itself really uses the VR aspect, by experimenting with portals (deeply strange), beam splitters (deeply quantum) and levitation (deeply floaty). Really fabulous evening out (of this world)!

Video of the virtual reality minigolf course. The course is in a fantastical swamp-like world that is very brightly coloured with strange creatures.

@ErikJonker "Vrijwel zeker" is nogal sterk uitgedrukt. Ik verwacht dat zo'n kabinet er wel gaat komen. Ik hoop dat dat dan niet van lange duur zal zijn.

And... I will be chairing 🪑, asking BLISTERING QUESTIONS to our panel, who include NASA & JAXA people working on the curation of grains from Apollo, , and the upcoming mission, and the Smithsonian Museum who grabbed a grain from asteroid Bennu to display.

Ik hoop dat genoeg mensen zien dat D66 , ondanks gemaakte fouten, een coherent en betrouwbaar programma heeft voor Nederland. Ik ga geen slogans herhalen oid maar bekijk de standpunten, https://d66.nl/
Strategisch stemmen heeft echt geen zin, we krijgen uiteindelijk een coalitie met veel partijen (niet alleen de drie grootste), dus hoe groter D66, hoe meer kans dat ze meedoen.
