Just a reminder to everyone that it’s fun to hope it’s aliens, but Occam’s Razor suggests it isn’t and the real answer is likely something naturally occurring.
That’s the point though, right? It’s all publicity. They don’t want to give it to someone who may actually use it. Give it to the billionaire who will never use it so.
I listened to much of the interview on the radio. He touched on a lot of good points and then came to the absolutely wrong conclusion. He talked about how many writing rooms are “writing by committee” where jokes will go through a review by many different groups. If this is truly the case (I don’t know) that is not an issue if the “far left mob” but rather the enshitification of comedy due to corporations and Wall Street bankrolling these productions wanting to ensure return on investment. This kills creativity by reducing risks. Topical comedy is a risky medium by default.
Also, shout out to Rob McElhenney for his sarcastic one word response. In Jerry’s imagined world, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia can’t exist.

I like to imagine op thinks the guy is sneaking in alcohol and buying an empty cup from the theater. The Texas man is pissed because he doesn’t know what to do with the remaining 2 oz after he planned on their cup holding 24oz.

From personal experience, refunds aren’t off the table. My wife has been a nurse for over 10 years. She just got a refund check from the Treasury stating that she over paid on her student loans. It wasn’t an insignificant amount.
I feel like Twitter (I will always deadname it) was the beginning of the end for him. Unfortunately, things like this can take years or decades to resolve, but whereas 5 years ago he had the midas touch and could do no wrong now there seems to be nothing but a stream of negative news about him.
Same way “Joe the Plumber”, Kim Davis, Kyle Rittenhouse, etc. GOP elevates their story to the national spotlight to “prove their point” and then leaves them out to dry after their 15 minutes of fame have been used up.

That’s a good stopping point. I would like to see Children of Dune on screen too, but beyond that I think it would be difficult to successfully translate the themes of the rest of the books onto screen for a broad audience like he’s managed to do with the first one.

Read up on Reagan and anti-trust. He essentially said that monopolies that resulted in lower prices were good for consumers and that the government would turn a blind eye to them. Hasn’t been much change since then.
