What kind of dystopian nightmare has UNC Chapel Hill turned into? @wilander @Hicsumus @bookstodon In college I met Harlan Ellison when he gave a workshop on campus in '97-98. He mentioned in passing that he only used a typewriter. Being a neurotic first-draft-by-hand kind of writer worried about the transition to composing on a computer, I asked him if he thought he wrote better that way. He said he'd never been asked that before, thought for a moment, and then said, "Yes." He did not elaborate. :)

Something that has struck me as I have been looking for a new place is how few of the homes--whether they are obviously occupied or vacant in their Zillow photos--have bookshelves. They certainly do not seem to be an architectural feature of modern homes.

Watching Time Team 5.4, where they excavate a Roman villa in Turkdean that keeps growing over the course of the episode to palatial proportions. Really an astonishing site. I think it's the only site the show revisited.

He’s going to choose Don Jr. He wants to be sure of 2 things (mebbe 3): Dynasty, a pardon, the end of all investigations.

These GOP ass kissers all want to be VP because they know he’s going down, they want the blessing of his cult, and they need to be in position to take the wheel when he’s arrested or dies. They are banking on him dying. All this over the top ‘loyalty’, is a show.

TFG is well aware of why they are kissing his ass. He doesn’t trust any of them. He will choose Don Jr.
