I was not prepared to learn that ankle socks are considered an old person thing now

Pretty cool how my old iPod touch from over 10 years ago has nearly 3000 songs loaded up and there's no way for me to recover any of them

Radical idea for social media: we should be able to leave a like on other people's like actions. If somebody likes (or "favorites" in Mastodon parlance) my post, I should be able to express that I like that they liked what I had to say

We could continue giving each other back and forth likes until eventually two accounts bound together in reciprocal liking reach the like singularity

Designing your own website, doing your own writing, editing your own images is counterculture

Downloading your own music, reading independent writers you like and being content using older technology is counterculture

One underrated benefit from the internet's "appification" era from my perspective is how the domain name arms race doesn't hold the same potency that it did years ago.

Even on a PC, I find myself just clicking on bookmarked website icons or links from other sources rather than typing a URL from scratch. I'm generally more concerned about the content contained in the site than what it's actually called.

Am I crazy, or are domain names just not the same mark of legitimacy that they used to be?

I recently learned that the word finicky only has one "n". Pretty cool that the language I speak is a glorified minefield designed to make me look foolish when I inevitably take an errant step

Sorry for the relative lack of posting from me this week. I've been trying out this novel activity called "shutting up"

Listening to this music outside on a warm afternoon reinvigorates my belief that there is still good in the world. A better future is possible
