Owning a boat is not for people with anxiety. I re-tied up my boat today (replaced all docking lines), and if I didn’t do a good job, my boat will be gone when I get back.

Lessons in insulating for this week:

  1. Expanding closed cell foam in a can does work for mitigating insulation issues, but is very, very (very) pricey compared with alternatives (ie. blown-in insulation or correctly installing fiberglass batts). $$
  2. Expansion performs best at around 75F. Colder weather significantly inhibits its expansion properties. Don't try it in very cold weather! (waste of cans...)
  3. Not all cans of foam perform well. Shake them... a lot. 2 minutes, vigorously, at least, if not more. Do not stop pressing that button as it will self harden on itself and clog.
  4. It appears to have an R-value significantly above R-15 fiberglass.

As we told you before, the SCOTUS ruling was not just about compelled speech around wedding websites, writings on cakes, photographies for weddings, et cetera, et cetera. It was yet another arrow in the quiver of the Republican Party and the judges they've loaded the federal courts and SCOTUS benches with to unwind same-sex marriage rights and LGBT rights in general. This is the second time this week, not even a month since the ruling, that this has happened. I implore people and the MSM to stop buying their bullshit messaging on this already. Thanks.
