I never got the hype for Satriani’s music. He’s a virtuoso for sure, but I never really found his music interesting.

This is probably high school nostalgia kicking in, but Limp Bizkit is great. lmao

There is actually some great kpop music out there.

scytale,

You can buy air fryer liners to minimize cleanup.

scytale,

I lack sleep today so I have pretty bad times.

scytale,

He should re-brand as a “consultant” and charge double that.

scytale,

I’ve commented this before, but this is how you do a trailer. Hollywood can learn a thing or two about subtlety and restraint.

scytale,

that tag line

That actually reminds me of another trailer of a film by the same director of the one I linked. The tag line is “Killing is like smoking. Only the first time is hard”.

scytale,

To be fair, there are also cases especially for older bands where their fanbase who were teens and young adults during their prime are now 40-50 year olds with families and are better off financially than they were back then.

scytale,

Similar to my case. My manager is based in Europe, and he basically said that to him, I’m a remote employee whether I wfh or go to the office, so it doesn’t matter. And even for other team members in the same location as him, he doesn’t force them to come in.

Our director (my boss’ boss) moved out of the US so it doesn’t make sense for him to ask us to come in when he himself is remote. And he also told us that he doesn’t care where we work from.

We’re lucky our bosses aren’t old heads with outdated work principles. Barring any explicit orders from the very top, I expect to keep the status quo. And even then, I’m sure at least up to our VP will defy those orders.

scytale,

Yeah this one sounds like a money grab.

scytale,

Cool, but I wish they actually showed clips without the narrator talking over it.

scytale,

One of his best songs. I love the chord and scale changes.

scytale,

Squirrels are not native in most of Asia.

scytale,

That and there’s the whole liability issue if something happens and it’s found out they were completely aware someone was living there.

scytale,

Eat a bag of sugar-free gummy bears or a half gallon of sugar-free ice cream. Another option as one other comment mentioned are those unregulated asian slimming teas that have questionable ingredients. The safest and most practical solution is a laxative used for colonoscopy prep.

scytale,

Thanks for this info. I hope the skies are clear tonight.

scytale,

I was too, until I found out they completely removed the driver instrument cluster, so even the speedometer is on the infotainment screen. I’m all for large screens, but the speedo and other necessary gauges should still be in front of the driver or on a HUD.

scytale,

Yeah, after-sales support would be my main concern as well. How support, maintenance, repairs, and warranty claims work.

Instagram locked my account and forced me to appeal and send a picture of my face, so I sent a picture of Shrek. They deleted my account

I’ve been a social media hermit for the past 3 years but recently I’ve given up and created a few accounts across different apps again. It’s unreal how strict the requirements are now....

scytale,

Do you never join photos when in social gatherings and someone takes a group picture with their phone?

scytale,

NYT - 02:24. Took longer than it should

Telegraph - 01:16

Didn’t do USA Today as it’s still the one I did yesterday.

scytale,

Yeah, I’m on a HDP + HSA as well and it works for us at the moment. No plans to have kids and don’t get sick often. If and when the chronic issues start manifesting, then maybe we will consider a traditional plan. Still shocking to see those bills though.

scytale,

Alexandrite is the best web front-end for me because of the 2-column view.

scytale,

Damn, he resembles his father more than any of his siblings.

scytale,

I’m currently watching Sugar and honestly, I wish it was just a straight up detective noir show instead of having scifi elements. The theme and vibe works so well for noir. I’m about to start Dark Matter. The reviews seem good so far, so let’s see. But to comment on the title, it’s great that a streaming service is making well produced scifi content.

scytale,

Interesting. IMO BR2049 is a super rare case where the sequel can arguably be considered an equal or better film than the original. Sure, the original set the theme and tone, and the sequel just built on it; but the execution is what separates 2049 from other sequels to classic films.
