For the last 2 weeks I've been running a "fun to play around with" Glitch-soc Mastodon instance on a former work laptop that they didn't want back :bloblaugh:

Purged Windows and setup Linux server, attached a SSD and boom! Unfort the disk is only ~300GB is not much wiggle room

It's running quite smooth, except for some 'DNS issues' at the start, maybe IP ban or something🤔Been using my single letter domain 'u.fail' for this btw if anyone is interested

Think we'll go with Glitch on mstdn soon

@stux I can stand behind more characters. It was easy to fit into 1 toot at the beginning, but now I constantly have to divide my toots into smaller ones or redact to make it in the limit...😂

I’ve been always wondering how cuckoo my dear wife really is. She went out, groceries. In like 2 minutes I get a call from her. Not a surprise. But this time, surprise! She didn’t forget anything. She informed me, she’s giving away one black plate on classifieds platform, because someone is missing one from a set and she doesn’t like those plates… And they will be here shortly…🤡

Lesson for the future, if you’re ever ordering a built-in fridge with a service of mounting it in place… They carried it upstairs, removed the old fridge and put the new one on the spot, but then they stopped, refusing to go further, because… The fridge had right side hinges and the cupboard had left side ones. Spent hours levelling the shit, putting it just in the right spot, flipping fridge hinges, gaskets and sorting out all the little plastic bits and pieces…

They of course have an additional service of flipping hinges, which is paid extra, and if you don’t order it as well, the primary service is far from being carried out…

That was directly from Samsung, btw. But MediaMarkt, Euro RTV AGD and other Poland-operating stores run exact same scam on the customers from what I can see. If you didn't order hinges flipping service along with the installation service and you are unlucky with the door hinges, direction you're fucked.

Ile ja bym dała za taki malutki napęd do roweru. Nie wielka bateria z zasięgiem 30 km, ale taki tyci dopalacz ładowany z dynama, żeby dawał boosta jak się jedzie pod górkę. Troszeczkę.

@pluszysta Z dynama to nowoczesny telefon naładujesz może w ciągu 6-8h nieustannej jazdy z prędkością ~20km/h. 30km zasięgu ładowane z dynamo - jak ktoś to wymyśli to będzie bogaty…😁

Są takie zestawy do rowerów: przednie koło z silnikiem, baterią i manetka. To najprostsze co można zrobić z posiadanym już rowerem…

! I woke up to a mild fever, after an uncomfortable sleep on the couch. Both our boys had the same symptoms recently and I must have caught it from them… I just don’t want to pass it to my girls, especially my wife, as she turns into a venomous viper when ill, making us all VERY miserable…🤒

@coffeegeek We own an espresso machine, aeropress and Hario pour over. They’re all fine. But when in distress, the auto drip is the fastest and the easiest and we love our MoccaMaster. Aeropress never really grew on me, it’s finicky (paper or fellow metal filter) and it’s not even close to neither espresso nor pour over…🙈

We’ve successfully nogotiated the price of the new car… What a relief… Now I need to pay and pick it up. I hate haggling, but by waiting it out and nagging we’ve saved around 10%…🤡

But it would be to good to end a day like that. Our fridge is dead, not worthy of a repair. We have to buy a new one NOW…🤣

Człowiek weźmie 1 dzień urlopu, bo musi załatwić ważne sprawy.
Przez pół dnia wydzwaniają telefony w służbowych sprawach.
A w następny dzień, jeszcze przed rozpoczęciem pracy dobijają się z pilnymi sprawami.

A pracodawca dziwi się, że mam tyle zaległego urlopu

@wlukewindsor Oh, my bad! My road bicycle is Shimano all the way. What I was talking about is to ditch the 105 entirely (with ultegra RX in the back) and replace it with SRAM Force AXS group set with, sadly, the rim brakes…🤣 @cycling @rower

To ograniczenie, że leki z jednej recepty można wykupić tylko w jednej aptece, to jest największe gówno na świecie, i całkowicie nieprzemyślane w kraju, gdzie ciągle tych leków brakuje.

@pluszysta Mój błąd… Rzeczywiście, szybko doczytałem, że kilka opakowań jednego leku trzeba w tej samej, a różne leki w kilku aptekach… Cóż, jeszcze się najwyraźniej na to boleśnie nie nadziałem…🤷🏻‍♂️🫣@podryban
