On the positive side, the files reported unreadable were all various things under /work/xilinx/Vivado/2019.2/...
So, if I'm lucky I haven't lost anything important and Vivado has finally proved itself useful... as a 25GB ablative shield for the rest of my project data on that volume...
P.S. I may need to migrate my blog from Squarespace for real. They just pushed an app update that made it incredibly annoying to navigate to the UI to create a new blog post, and editing a blog post has lost a lot of functionality. I had to finish editing on my laptop because I literally could not embed a URL into my blog text. 😡

A touch of excitement at #work. I went to open one of the shelving units attached to the wall, it has a big plywood and laminate door that swings up and stows along the top. The entire door assembly popped off and landed on the ground.
We think its better this way. We're removing the hardware that the fallen off door was attached to, and we'll dispose of it. The door was in the way, I like it better without the door.
I made a strange and wonderful discovery today! For my meal (OMaD day) I had some pork tenderloin and delicata squash.
The tenderloin had all of the fat trimmed off it, so I cut it into 6 big chunks and packed some pork fat that I'd gotten from a local store around them, then roasted it.
This pork fat is white, no pieces of actual meat mixed in, and looks otherwise like freshly-ground beef. Wait...I'll go take a picture...
So when I took the roasted meat out of the oven, I thought the pork fat would be melted away as I didn't see any meat mixed into it - but it wasn't! And when I tasted the little pieces that were left, they had the distinct texture of RICE! They didn't have much flavor, and I felt like I was eating pork and rice for supper...AMAZING!!!
