Sad to announce that the AI Horde donations have effectively reached simple parity with infrastructure costs. I.e. The crowdfunded funds are not providing anything for further development.
This is continuing the trend since last summer. Unclear how a #FOSS project can attract support. We have hundreds if not thousands daily users, but practically nothing in support.
I've worked a lot on improving the integration of AI Horde with @astrelion's @dungeons this past weekend and I'm really excited to finally show the results. Hopefully the update will go live soon!
The AI Horde patreon support has massively dropped in the past few months sadly, so we're getting close to simply breaking even with the infrastructure costs and no support for development. If you appreciate what the AI Horde stands for, please consider supporting the main developer on patreon (https://www.patreon.com/db0), github (https://github.com/db0), or liberapay (https://liberapay.com/db0/)
@thegradient@mastohost has the image upload been silently rate limited? I'm attempting to upload images for my @stablehorde_generator bot, the first few went through and the rest are stuck uploading.
@stablehorde Sorry to see this has impacted you. For now it'd be optimal to implement a queue for posting, it seems - it'd work to post once per 1 minute at most, perhaps.
The AI Horde is about to become 1 year old, on Sep 3rd. I plan to make it a whole day event, where I'll be on voice comms all day, just hanging out. You can ask me anything you want.
I hope people old and new join us to celebrate one year of crowdsourced Generative AI compute for everyone!
Fun fact, you can follow our lemmy link aggregation by following this account @aihorde for AI Horde links and discussions or @stable_diffusion for #stablediffusion stuff. It's like having a reddit feed in your mastodon follows. Only better because it's #fediverse!
@stablehorde this reads very much as the previous crisis turned out to be a real opportunity -- of course with loads and loads of work to get there, but still. Very well done!
